I’m 1480 on lichess and I had a funny bishop pair story... in fact, I was down a queen and a rook but I had the bishop pair... so I miscliked my rook and took a supported pawn.. he captured back and after one of my bishops captured, it was checkmate

Pulzify the other tournaments yes , but in this one , the only ways to draw is either stalemate,repetition or insufficient material, that’s why they played till the end (you can check the interviews..)

To address the problem, I check on KZbin EVERYDAY, notifications are optional. As I work and come home, I always check KZbin to see if there's anything new, if so, then watch it. The ads, yes, can't be controlled, but here on my PC, I use Adblock to stop them without interrupting my videos.

The problem with KZbin's overloaded servers for sending notifications is that they have made the subscription page so useless that everyone uses notifications as the new subscription page. They wanted people to use the recommended section more so then they could control what people are viewing better and did this by making the subscription page unusable so that people won't use it. But people have resorted to the notifications instead of the recommended page and as more and more people do this KZbin can't handle it all.

Grischuk, Vachier-Lagrave and Giri (among others) are strong candidates to be added. There will also be a candidate chosen by the organizers, almost certainly it will be a Russian “favorite son”. Winner plays Carlsen sometime near the end of the year for the championship.
