Thank you my friend. Spent almost 10 runs trying to beat 32 heat. Eventually achieved with Rama powered by pomming the Dio special which was insanely effective. Now I have closure. Learnt a lot about advanced gameplay in Hades thanks to your videos.

Hey Hae, just found your channel the other day since I got Hades myself and have a few wins under my belt now. Usually when I get a new rogue like game I tend not to look at gameplay or guides early on so I can figure stuff out for myself but now that I'm at a stage where I'm starting to get to Styx somewhat reliably (damn you Thesius for ending so many a run lol) I've started looking at some Hades content. My current favourite weapon is Zeus aspect Shield where I just chuck out a beyblade then dash strike around. It netted me my first win which was satisfying. Looking forward to checking out more stuff on the channel

God damnit. I have lost count at how many attempts I made at heat 32 (extreme measures 4 amongst other things) with a Rama Zeus Special build. I even got him to 5% once but generally failed on hades earlier. Tried this, got the duo boons needed and FIRST GODDAMN TRY.

Did this run, but with Aphro dash and Ares attack. Got all the duo boons, Hades was fairly easy. Numbing sensastion really helped me at times, enemies were noticably slower

Oh yeah, got the Poseidon call, which got me the duo boon which made all future boons minimum epic rarity. That was a nice bonus :D

Does anyone know how the game resolves multiple hangover effects of different strengths? For example, if you've already applied the max stacks of hangover with the special, and then you use the call, does the stronger effect take precedence or does it just kinda get wasted?

The most recently applied hangover effect takes priority, whether it is the strongest or not. So if you use the call and then immediately hit with a weak hangover effect from the attack, it basically negates the damage from the call.

Just got pretty much exactly that, but I found it to be actually quite good. Usually do that build with Chiron, but on Rama it actually felt better.

If any more casual viewers are trying this and struggling I'd suggest a different approach to pact. I went with the following: max Hard Labor, Lasting Consequences 1, max Convenience Fee, max Jury Summons, max Extreme Measures, Calistenics Program 1, max Benefits Package, Middle Management, Heightened Security, max Damage Control. No Tight Deadline, no Forced Overtime lets you really play safely and maximize the strengths of this build.

It's affects are randomized: the game rolls to see what the specific buff is for most boons. Ussually it's that common is the base and is the same at common always, but the higher rarities have their buff being at a range of potential multipliers of that base. For example, Artemis special gives base 40% at common, and the rarities scale from that from between 1.3-1.5x that at rare, 1.8-2.0x for Epic, and 2.3-2.5 for a natural (heroic in the selector when you first get the boon) heroic. The "rarity scaling" here is by adding a .5x multiplier to the base of what rare and above multiply by to get their bonus, so calculating the difference a change in rarity for this boon is pretty simple. Same thing, in this instance, applies to numbing sensation. It's rarity scaling is a bit different in that it's an inconsistent rise instead of a constant; 1.3-1.5 rare 2.0-2.2 epic and no matter how you get it a Heroic will always be 2.5x. It's base at common is 15%, so the first roll led to a ≈1.4666...x (or 1.5 and rounded down to 22%, I don't know for sure how the game does it) result, the second rolled a 1.4x result to be exact. My source for rarity scaling (I know of no place where you can look up specific Pom scaling btw, as that gets fun) is the wiki (hades.gamepedia.com/Hades_Wiki) and just looked up the boons. You find them with their respective god, and duos will show up on both gods' page if you scroll down far enough. They include helpful images that include boon prereqs for Duos and getting tier2 and above boons for each god.
