I've seen plenty of your other videos, mostly meme runs, but just in general, and got to this video. Only watched a little bit, basically the prep part..... did a Demeter Fists speed run, and demolished my own record (which was around 14ish mins) and got just under 12 mins. Thank you!

First time trying a speedrun, I had the best luck ever but mess up and pick talos over demeter by accident. Got a 10:05.26 not bad I guess but if a more skill player got the luck I had probably would have done a WR lol (got sea storm, Splitting Bolt, epic greatest reflex without even trying and had a fountain room in every biome and got a 2 sack on styx)

Question about the boon pool: if you sell a boon, like you did in 30:52, does the said god/goddess still stay as one of the four boon pool (Athena)? Edit: Saw the trail room with Poseidon/Athena later. I guess that means it doesn't(?!)

I still think Gilgamesh is a bit underrated but there's a high learning curve with animation cancelling. You can actually do a dash-strike and dash upper off one dash and if you stack movespeed you get crazy mobility during the special. The trick is to not spam dash-strike all the time and use more specials for dealing with mobs. Special speed from Hermes works on Dash-Upper for some reason and makes the weapon feel a lot more dynamic. You can even use Dash-Upper with a special curse from Chaos and not take any damage.

At 32:20 you put on Artemis keepsake, and earlier you mentioned that you can only have 4 gods in the "god pool" except if you run a keepsake (like you did). I'm wondering, does the keepsake only force the good to spawn 1 time, or is it now added to the god pool, so you have 5 potential gods in the pool? Cus watching the video, Artemis didn't show up later, so just curious.

You can only have 4 main gods and Hermes at every run. If you have gotten Artemis, Zeus, Aphrodite, you only have one more spot for every other god. At that point having a keepsake can help sway which gods will appear but it wont be 100%. But at the start of the run, it has the highest chance to be the you want.

As said, at the timestamp he says he has 4 gods already BUT a keepsake can circumvent that problem, so give you 5 or more gods in the god pool. And I was just wondering if that extra god actually goes into the pool in which you can meet later OR if it's just a 1 time thinig cus of the 4 god rule and the game somehow thinking 5th or 6th god shouldnt be there.

When you wind up with more than 4 gods, they still all have equal chance to show up I believe. Just unlucky we didnt get more artemis.

idk i think the normal fury sister fight is a lot faster than the extreme measures version personally.. It would depend on what weapon/aspect/boons ur using like.. if u can kill all the extra heads super fast it might be worth it.. but otherwise i'd consider removing extreme measures entirely for the faster fury sister fight. Like, you have to avoid a lot less attacks, and like you said they have a lot less health.

A general question: is there a weapons attack rotation guide somewhere? He is generally doing so much more damage than me and it was shocking when i learned that you should hold the attack button amd cancel the third attack with dash in order to maximise your dps. Is there similar stuff with the oher weapons as well? I heard someone saying there is an animation cancel for the sword using the special.... Do you guys have a guidelink for that or can quickly deacribe he rotations for the weapon? Thanks in advance!

IMO kinetic launcher is v good (at least for intermediate-level runners like me) because it massively cuts down on the number of times you just miss enemies because of their boosted speed, the cutter often hits running enemies or even enemies you weren’t intending to hit and it minimises the amount of time you either waste the cutter or hold out on using the cutter because you want to be safe about using it

Yeah I think it's the best special for fists.. It has the highest base damage for Dash-Upper and is the most reliable by far. All of other specials tend to whiff a lot of hits even against big enemies.

billowing is good because it increases all damage right. your attack, special, cast, the lightning dmg on ur attack, the white dmg on ur attack, the jolted dmg, the call dmg, literally everything, right? that's why it doesn't go up by much? :P

I feel like Chaos damage on attack especially an epic one is highly underrated. I mean even with zeus attack that is like getting a additional athena or aphrodite boon on attack aswell. On the entire run i really suspect it would be atleast a 10-20% damage increase.

Correct, you could always have more damage potentially too, it usually matters quite a bit when you get the boons and not as much if.

Not trying to call ya out or anything but the info here is still relevant since the game hasn't had a meaningful patch since right after launch, Oct 2020. The only thing that may have changed are the metas. You can do it, it just takes time.

The most annoying thing about going for time isn't even the boon RNG, it's bosses randomly getting stuck in invincibility for an extra 10-15 seconds.. That happens way too often in this game.. Hades will just keep attacking when there's no enemies and his next phase should have started, sometimes he just spams stealth non-stop, and Asterius or Lernie can just sit there in invincibility for ages.

The invincibility phases are fixed at certain health intervals, some times bosses might finish an attack while it started but I personally don't consider it a major issue.

chaos gates you do ignore if you are at the final chamber of a biome (if the final shop is available) otherwise, only if you have the option between the chaos gate and another free room someone feel free to correct me if I'm way off base here

Easy. Don't hit the enemy. If you shoot a wall, it will immediately drop on the ground. Also, and more helpful, most of the casts drop to the ground with the shield aspect which allows you to charge your cast into your dash.

5 sec is pretty short. I have a longer time loading up the casts or just outright using them. Generally i stay away from casts unless the weapon that im using weapons that has benfits for the cast

@@sonicfraisheya4028 I'm taking Dionysus cast pretty much always. This thing has incredible burst and two dual boons that can make it even better (Zeus having the fog deal lightning damage, and Demeter having it deal more damage and cold). My last run, I had both the duals, and Hades melted.

Can someone help on the final unlocks? I've 32 heated every weapon, finished all the storylines (nobody has new dialogue), max collectibles, completed codex, wealth of extra resources etc. I'm missing 1 song, >/= 1 pieces of furniture, and >/= 1 major unlocks. I have no idea what else to do to trigger whatever I need to trigger so I can buy them.

shows that you're not going into a run where you know the first boon. if you "give up" on a run, you start back with the same RNG seed next time you go in. dying on stream shows that your first boon is in fact random, as is the rest of your seed

4% on 20% is still a 20% increase (20x1.2 = 24) re: common vs Epic billowing. Given that it's global dmg% seems ok, plus he has 60% faster charge on god gauge from boon so, minor synergy yay lol

I think you are looking at the wrong percentage: +20% dmg is ×1.2 dmg and +24% is ×1.24. Therefore, since 1.24 = 1.03 × 1.2, it's only a 3% increase, not a 20% increase.

Re: god pools, I have a theory that the 4 gods are actually predetermined from the start of the run. This is based on, let's just say, many very frustrating runs where I ignore countless Ares boons and never see any other gods offered.

TL;DR it really just comes down to the basic idea that different people find different things enjoyable. Just because you don't find the concept of speedrunning Hades particularly exciting or interesting doesn't mean other people won't. As an example, I myself don't find Ori and the Blind Forest speedruns to be particularly interesting,because the route ignores most of the games progression and does some cheesy stuff to beat the game in under 15 minutes. I don't find it particularly satisfying, and yet other people think that sort of style of play is very exciting and cool to watch! On the other hand, a game such as Super Mario Bros 3 has a similar speedrunning concept that causes a game-breaking glitch to manipulate the games code (not exactly how it works but its close enough) to instantly teleport you to the very end of the game in about 5 minutes. It's a very obscure set of actions you have to take in order to do it, and there are multiple pixel-perfect jumps that need to be done in the right order or else it wont work. Even though I don't find Ori interesting, I think the SMB3 speedrun is very cool even though both games' speedrunning routes ignore almost all of the games levels and progression. Hades speedruns are enjoyable for a lot of people in the same way that I enjoy Slay the Spire speedruns. Both games involve decent amounts of RNG to be in your favour in order for a speedrun to have a chance at competing with the world record, and if it doesn't work out then your chances are smaller than normal. However, both games also have little to no game-breaking glitches in their routes. To get a fast run you just... play the game quickly. No glitch to instantly beat the game out of nowhere. No exploit to skip most of the games progression. It really just depends on what you think is cool or enjoyable to watch.
