Welcome, Jay, and I hope you enjoyed my stomping grounds. Born and raised in iron bridge. I feel like we got the best of many worlds in trophy Alley. Some good trout fishing in Elliot Lake. Good Pike & Musky in Blind River. Good Walleye & Bass fishing in Iron Bridge. Of course, we got Lake Huron, which has salmon.

Made that drive once, back in 81. The views are just magnificent. Couldn't believe how much sandy shoreline along lake Superior. Gotta love the fight those little sideswimmers can put up. Love me a nice feed of them from cold water. Go get'em tomorrow!

I've done that stretch between Sault St. Marie and Wawa 6 times in route to Wawa, to fly out of Hawk Junction and end up at Watson's Windy Point (formerly Everson's Lodge), it's by far my favorite place to fly into, I tell my family all the time I want my ashes spread in Kabinakagame (I hope I spelled that right 😬)

Jay, I have to ask as curiosity is killing me. Your Bigfoot cap, have you ever had any encounter of any kind? I heard wood knocks up in Burrow Bay of Lake of The Woods. This was early 2001. I'm miles from anywhere, no other humans around, and something is banging on trees very hard. Hmmm. Wasn't a woodpecker.

Will I be safe, harassed by the OPP , or political extremists, I have fished Canada .many times in the Quetico and Misaniabe river all the way to Moose Factory. Been all over but it has been a few years, It does not seem to be the same place it used to be.
