My 5 year old son loves snakes And loves watching you Noah. We’ve found a good 30 in the last month or so. When we watched and saw the tarp naturally he had to know what was under it, so we went and watched Gabes video. Spoiler alert but...when he saw Noah under the tarp, he laughed uncontrollably until he screamed “daddy it’s a Noah constrictor!” Keep the great videos coming man!

I really enjoy theses types of videos. Herping in urban areas can be challenging but fun. I would love to see a video of you trying to locate some of the major invasive species next time you are in Florida. Pythons, Tegus, Monitors etc.

When you going to Florida to herp panther and vaileds in the city trees and big boas and python. That be a awesome video.
@sdcanyoncarver22034 жыл бұрын
@Walter you didn't need to go off and explain all that , when the average herper knows everything you just said. Good god. Dosent mean he cant make a video finding invasive animals.

Thanks for the great videos. I enjoy them immensely. You remind me of myself in my youth. I’m 70 now, and once when I was 10 I brought home a black racer. My mother and grandmother ran out of the house screaming and the lady next door swore that I was in league with Satan. Attitudes have changed some since then, but not enough, I fear to save these magnificent creatures.

I was stomping around my overgrown, rural yard & a neighbor stopped to warn me about snakes. Told me he'd killed 2 in my hood. He picked the wrong person. Told him he sucked & I wish he'd leave ALL snakes alone, might have called him an ignorant ass**le. Couple counties north of ATL.

Try diplomacy next time, like "do you know what kind they were? Some are actually beneficial because they keep the rodent population down". Confront their ignorance obliquely so as not to wound egos.

I know you'll tell me it all just comes with experience but as quick as I am out in the field (or feel I am at least), I'm amazed at how quickly you guys identify all creatures on the spot when flipping over debris or even walking or driving down a road!! Not just snakes but skinks and turtles and even insects. Very Impressive!! I guess you'd lose at least half of your quarry if you did more than a half second delay in capturing but I'd freak if I mistook say a water moccasin for a common water snake!! Jim C.

I have a few videos on my channel talking about how to find snakes. Here in GA they can be found all over the place. Mornings and afternoons are usually best to find snakes on the move, but they can be found all day. When it gets too hot snakes can be tough to find. Start with your local park!
