I love my Doxie Sookie. She was such a big comfort to me when my husband was dying and continues to be there when I get sad. She was the last gift I got from my husband before he passed away. I can't imagine not having her.♥️ 🐕♥️

The Social Media Freddy Soda being in some stores is maybe the first time I felt let down by Funko. I cannot believe they would not keep them and continue to give them away or even have them on the site for reward points or slip them into the EQL boxes. I did not et the last wave of those boxes. If I had a chance of getting one of those sodas in the box I would have gone for it. We do have the common but I would have felt worse if I had got one the way they were originally intended. It was enough to get us out the door and drive to Marshalls to have a look, we had never been to one before. lol. So happy Alex is at the new house with you. Awesome video!

I feel the same exact way. I love the company and will continue to collect of course. But as a die hard Freddy and soda fan, this hurts so bad seeing people get multiples for cheap and then now flipping them. A product that should have never been sold in the first place.

So no Marshall’s here, it’s actually been a while since I’ve done a pop hunt, dog pal number 2 for me, had a German shepherd for 12 years and now I’ve had billy for 2. Completely agree they are family and anytime the aren’t around is definitely noticeable. Welcome home Alex.

I went Sunday to check Marshals with my grand daughter. Didn't find much on pops or sodas. I did come out with a toy for my grand daughter. She was happy and that made me happy as well.

I had a canine companion for 14 years but sadly had to put her down a few years ago; you’re absolutely right, they are the most loyal and there through everything, never leaving your side until they have to. I have two fur babies and for the first time in awhile both of my pets are on the younger side. Willow is 3 and Olivia is 1 and 1/2. Both are hounds so there is lots of energy at our house which we nicknamed the Athena Lane Zoo. I work from home so I get to spend lots of time with them and they definitely have a hold of my heart!

A lot of times even funko liquidates their stuff not to loose money. These stores carry Funko exclusive only Funko should be carrying. But it happens. Just like if they decided to junk the items they still get credit for their products. So for easy quick cash they can liquidate their stuff. Marshals, tjmax, 5below, they buy liquidation products. Or overstocked stuff. So it’s crazy but that’s how these companies try to make their quick $$.

That’s understandable, I have no issue with Funko doing that. However that is not the more prominent issue here. They gave Marshalls items such as the Social Media Freddy Pops and Soda that should have never been sold. These were special giveaway items to fans and funatics. By selling these at discount stores so anyone can get them is embarrassing and disrespectful to their social media teams. That’s why someone at Funko needs to be held accountable.

@@Slapshotpops I total agree 1000% bud. But these companies all they think about is $$$ and it’s sad. I’m on your side. If products where sold (wrongfully) to others retailers, they would’ve done something quickly. But they haven’t, if they were concerned about it. Oh like the dumping of Funko figs. I hated that they did that. Instead of selling it in other locations or doing a giveaway. Instead they dumped a huge % into the trash. But this time they sold their items to retailers. It’s quick $$ instead of dumping and getting credit that takes long time for the credit refund. Ik it was a give away free item from the event. But I see not a lot of ppl went to the event for what ever reason. So now they could have a chance to buy the item. But of course there gonna be scalpers selling them for high buck. And that also sucks. MAN WE NEED YOU RUNNING THIS PLACE YOUR AWESOME WITH THIS! And you are passionate and do care for us the Funko/toy community. We need more ppl like you bro. I found a Hall H Freddy Funko and Social Media Freddy after going to a few different Marshalls. I did pick up the Social Media freddy but the Hall H was so badly damaged that i ended up leaving it (but now i regret leaving it behind) lol

Actually, yes, I actually went to a new marshals that I never went to before and I actually found three soda pops of Minnie mouse no chase but they’re still cool. They have some pop there one of the villains from 101 dalmatians they had that one what else remember

I was able to pick up both the Chase and common Barb soda from stranger things at Ross. $3.99 apiece. I also noticed that they had some handmade by robots there too.

I understand about fences with the family's previous dog Mabi , we didn't have a fence and he would run after the deer but he did come back. Our current dog Gromit, without a fence he would sprint through the whole neighborhood before coming back out of boredom. We have to bribe him with a trip in a vehicle for him to come back. So now we have a sturdy fence, Gromit is part Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle, more Poodle for sure. The hunt was great!

I think it is genius for Funko to drop a few social media Freddy's to Marshalls it got you and many more people out to the stores to hunt down some pops. Its a cheap way to get you and many others in the doors, having Marshalls to buy more of the overstocks at funko. thanks for sharing

It may be smart from a business perspective but from a marketing perspective it’s a horrible decision. Most of the pops at Marshall’s won’t make Funko much money in the long run anyway so that’s why this needs to be investigated and ultimately someone held responsible.

As we get closer to the Holidays, some of the most random collectibles like Handmade by Robots, Cosbaby, Figpins, Funkos, etc start showing up at the discount stores. I've always assumed it was due to companies off loading their old inventory.

I understand your rant about social media Sodas and Pops being special as they only can be obtained from Funko as giveaways but as we've seen recently it looks like they are having a pop (pardon the pun) at the secondary market flippers, so maybe there fed up of seeing what's supposed to be a unique pop to a collector been flipped 🤑

We struck out at ours too. Funny though that we also found Chef Colette opened and left on the shelf. Three of them actually. Only Pop we found was Halloween Donald. My theory is that Marshall's placed a bulk order from Funko's warehouse and the person/persons that filled it just threw a bunch of random Sodas in a box. That's my theory to keep my hope alive that it was an accident. If it's true then you have to ask what in the world were those doing in the warehouse to begin with?

I’m not sure the images were fake, especially with the Pop. There was another image with someone scoring like 3-4 of them. 😓 I think it’s sad to see this for people who earned their social media Freddys by winning giveaways or at events…now they are less meaningful imo. And again, for me Funko really needs to take care how they use the term “exclusive” because lately it’s starting to feel a bit deceiving. These should have been exclusive to giveaways as initially intended. The Con exclusive Pops like Luffy should not get manufactured year after year to no end when it was exclusive to an event. And vaulted Pops should stay vaulted. Not liking what I’m seeing lately 😞 Hope we don’t keep seeing slip ups like this…

i live in Daytona Beach fl i saw all the postings of the social media freddy and i couldn't believe it so i went out yesterday to 2 Marshalls in the 1st store i didnt find any but the child big mom common i went to the other one in port orange fl and i found 4 social media freddy and there was 2 child big mom chases in the store , i dont know what funko is thinking but its not cool some one messed up big time at funko
