timing belt snapped on the S6 while driving the other day. this series is super helpful man thank you for documenting this, giving me a bit more confidence to dive in as i'm definitely going to be pulling the heads. hoping to do it in the car tho and not have to pull engine and trans

Should have no problem pulling the heads in the car, I just unhooked the AC unit and flipped the entire front end out to the left of the car

@@sreed_ yep that's the way i do it too pop the bumper off and swing everything out. is way easier than the standard service position

I just pulled my intake mani and valve covers off. Cam chain tensioners making noise but look fine. Joy

ATLEAST THE TIMING CHAIN IS AT THE FRONT, AS A VR6 3.2 IS AT THE REAR- AS IS THE MERCEDES W212 CDI...WHICH MEANS ENGINE OUT TO DO A CHAIN (CRIMINAL DESIGN) BUT IN REALITY THEY KNOW THE ENGINES WILL NOT LAST THE TEST OF TIME
