Looking Into KY Sheriff's and Judge's BACKGROUND

As the aftermath of Thursday’s Letcher County shooting unfolds, LEX 18 has learned more background information on the victim and suspect.
The shooting victim, 54-year-old Judge Kevin Mullins, was an assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for eight years before former Governor Steve Beshear appointed him district judge in 2009.

Considering it was in the Judges chambers where the Deputy played with the woman the Judge has to be in on it. Judge and Sheriff go way back. It was one of his deputies and she was his prisoner at some point. It's not far fetched to think they're all involved with something much darker that they're letting on.

I found this in the comments section of a video report on KZbin by a TV news station that adds details that official news outlets are not providing, possibly because they cannot corroborate these details, or they're not completely accurate. * Stines (the deputy who did the shooting) didn't control and discipline Fields, the former deputy who was sexually abusing a woman, and so was part of the lawsuit by the woman against Fields. * Mullins (the judge) probably called Stines out. * Stines didn't like he was being called out and shot Mullins. * (not mentioned in this video) The DA is related to Mullins, so he recused himself from this case, which is actually the right thing to do.

I spoke with a relative of the sheriffs. She said that the judge was having inappropriate relations with the sheriff’s minor daughter. The sheriff knew, because of the “good old boy system”, that the judge would get away with it.

@@branthandford2212 Nothing has been proven, but the sheriff was elected *before* the lawsuit. In the lawsuit the sheriff was *accused* (not proven) of indifference, but in 2022 when the lawsuit was filed the sheriff did immediately fire the deputy.
