Out in the hills, there has always been the Red Tractor/Green Tractor controversy. It's your money. It's your shop. And your rules. No point in fretting over what the internet thinks, because - no matter what you do - you are wrong!

My wife and I have a T770 and an E55. I love them both. I used them to install a large gravel pad this summer, I use the T770 with my Bobcat Snowblower in the winter. We’ve found the E55 is a great tool to help us process fire wood, remove stumps, clear property and move heavy objects. Congratulations on your purchases. I’m excited to see you using them.

Hiya nate,fan from the UK here, it's so important to pick the right tool for the job, your experience will help a lot! What annoys me is the cheap plastic parts, i would rather they charged more & not skimp on cheap parts that you have to replace 😮

Great purchases , bobcat is a great brand and usually comes with really good dealer support. I have many many hours in a bobcat skid steer, and I wouldn’t hesitate with buying one for personal use.

love digging content!! Having the bucket up and not being able to get out seems like it may cause an issue in the future, but also since you're not commercially working then there’s no time crunch and you can do it right. Good purchases! They look fun

I have only heard good things about BobCats. The fact a dealer is close to you is a big plus also.
@curtd7117Ай бұрын
You can backfill around the garage where you’ll want it the most. Maybe some shallow drainage ditches strategically located where you want less water to go. You’ll be amazed as time goes on what you can do with them. When I was at Ft Campbell Kentucky for three years I operated a SEE (small emplacement excavator) google it. It has a backhoe and large front end loader on a wheel chassis. I really enjoyed operating it and if I were younger I would Offer my service free of charge. Be safe but have fun. 😉

One tip on the bobcat 770, if you get to smelling peanut butter, thats the smell of a bearing goin out on the tracks, from my experience runnin when i worked for a tree company cutting brush under power lines, like in the country so it was drove on road an obviously in the woods lol
@donnalong2372Ай бұрын
Well treated equipment is never a loss! Even if it stands on a job by weight to replace a few good size neighbors working somewhere else.😅
@jmackinjersey1Ай бұрын
As an Operating Engineer, I'll give you a pro tip. When you are on the mini-excevator, be sure to place the blade Behind You when you are digging with the bucket. It will give you more leverage and allow you to dig a lot better/easier. It also allows you to get closer to the digging area and it allows you to see your entire work area. The other thing it does is allows your bucket to curl and be moved closer during digging operations and you will not hit the teeth on the bottom of the blade. The only time you should have the blade in front of you is when you are using it to push material.

Bobcats have always seemed like the best all around choice in one situation. When you are close enough to a rental place that stocks and rents all the different implements nearby. Sure its got 100 attachments to do anything but thats only really helpful if you have a way to rent them easily when you need em.
@NogrimStonesonАй бұрын
The bush hog, post drill and the stump grinders are all things you would get a lot use out of i think
@ferretyluvАй бұрын
I only suggested bobcats because I assumed it was a genericized trademark, like legos or kleenex. I never knew there were other brands.

Fantastic You bot 2 machines !!!! and believe me you will use them both ! clearing land is going to be SOOOOO Much easier now ! I think you were very smart in getting those machines.... yah their extremely expensive.... but they will make life alot easier on the farm ! ...remember Money is nice but it don't chop your wood for you ! these machines will.... make a fire wood splitter for the excavator ! like Jon at farmcraft 101 did .... it's an attachment and it'll make your wood gathering chore a breese !
@jmackinjersey1Ай бұрын
Also, make sure you keep the throttle up when you are operating the machines. It is more efficient because your pumps need that RPM to push the fluid fast enough to to make your movements smooth.

IMHO buy and older full size tractor with a hoe on the back. I’ve maintained property for years and things happen and the tractor hoe combo will make you self reliant in 99% of issues that can arise. I’ve seen people trying to do major road work or clearing after a slide or sink hole and roll those little machines.
