im one of those that can smell the EDP as a skin scent the next day but its just the base notes and very soft i believe ive always had a very strong sense of smell, always being able to tell what spices are being cooked in food based on smell before taste, I wonder if some people just have different noses that can pick up the weakening aroma chemicals longer then others

Own both the 2017 EDT and Reserve Privee. RP smells like complete perfection in colder weather… what surprises me is the lack of love for the classic 2017 EDT. For whatever reason my brain and nose continue to go back to the EDT and every time I smell it puts me in a trance, unsure why. Amazing fragrance line.

I have the EDP and the Cologne version. Wonderful fragrances! Really majestic! Cologne needs the extra heat of summer to reveal it's true character. So, eventhough my most favourite fragrances in my collection are the Dior Homme line ones (Parfum, DHI, EDT 2011), I'm very glad to also have these two gems from Givenchy. Excellent video! The Gentleman EDP will go on to become a classic, I think. Well composed, dignified but also unique - maybe even deeply weird. It’s the first fragrance I’ve encountered that smells “purple”, if that even makes sense. Dark but also intriguing, it has a definite backstory. Changed my mind about the Boisee, it’s pretty great. The pepper, cocoa and iris combine to make for a confident springtime scent(though this can be worn all year save for the high heat). Givenchy is putting out some incredible releases.

I agree that in the far drydown Reserve Prive is basically the EDP but the booziness and nuttiness stays on my skin for a few hours before it fades. I'm sorry it doesn't last long on you, Sebastian. I got a sample and it lasted about 8.5 hours on my skins. My top there are 3. Gentleman EDP, 2.Gentleman Reserve Prive 1.Gentleman Boisee. Boisee for me is just out of this world great for me.

I've only tried one release from this series and it is "Gentleman EDP". Recently, I bought it and I tried it for the first time this past weekend. I truly do like it. During a part of my first wearing of it, it seemed like it could be a niche fragrance.

I love Givenchy Gentleman Cologne. I tried it. 2 hours of amazing projection with natural lemon juice. After that moment .. iris+lemon musk which smells amazing. Is such a great fragrance which value is much better than Dior Homme Cologne. Givenchy Gentleman Intense edt made me curious. Really sexy, sweet fragrance which good cardamon blast from start. I preffer fresh and green fragrances but that was smells very good for me.

The Cologne was insanely fantastic. It is classiest freshie I’ve ever smelled. The heartbreak comes in the performance. It vanishes far too quickly. I hope Givenchy resurrects this scent in a longer lasting version 🙏🤞🙏

Reserve Privé is my favorite. The EDP is just not for me, with a very oriental vibe that the Reserve Privé doesn’t have. The booziness isn’t strong at first, but it dries down sexy and sweet.

I really love this line too! I have them all, ( must have got one of the last 100ml bottles of cologne, as I can't find it in a bigger size anymore. ) except the EDT Intense! What a great line Givenchy has given us. I wish they would come out with a box set of the collection including the 'cologne' and it could even be 50ml bottles. Just to keep them in reserve. Thanks. You have clarified your stance on performance. I smelt the Reserve today at Nordstorm, while hunting for Dior Farenhight EDP. I loved it. But after your review, wont get it I actually like the bottle. I also like the lalique encre noire. I like the Frank Boclet Rock Series bottles. The layer of marketing is gladly missing in all these. I haven’t tried everything from this collection, but I have tried the EDP and Boisee and I find them to be just ok. The iris was selling note for me, but I’d rather wear Dior Homme Parfum or Valentino Uomo. Maybe if I tried the Gentleman line before Dior or Valentino first my thoughts would be different. The entire collection is good, including the 1970 version which I continually go back to. The cologne is super, but unfortunately doesn't perform well on my skin. I get more out of Dior Homme cologne 2020, but they are 2 different scents, both amazing.

It had been a while since I picked up a bottle of Givenchy but before the lockdown I came across the Gentleman Givenchy EDP when in search of a new fragrance early evening one Saturday in January 2020. I had sprayed a number of possibilities but the one that stood out all night was the EDP which has become my top signature scent. The Boisee as I recall was introduced soon after my discovery of the EDP but it did nothing for me as I truly enjoy the gourmand style of the EDP. A fortnight ago I tried the new Prive flanker but it's not quite on par with the EDP. All my best.

I think they removed it from the website due to low sales and a bigger reason (IMO): the title "cologne" tend to be misleading to the people that is not into the fragrance world. I'd rank them with both the EDP and the Reserve Privee at #1. Own the EDP, but not the Reserve Privee yet, so haven't really worn the latter, even if I had applied it on my skin. Smell-wise, can't pick a favorite yet between those two, so both at #1. At #2 the Cologne, but quite distant from that #1 tier. I do own it and like it, but to me/my nose/my taste at least so far, both Dior Homme Cologne and Guerlain L"Homme Ideal Cologne are clearly superior to the Givenchy Cologne. Have smelled the rest in the line but none of those has picked my interest strongly enough in comparison, so have not purchased any. PS. Just checked, the Cologne is also missing in the french version of the web page, but it appears when choosing "International" or "Spain" as the country/region. However, only a 50ml size is listed.
