When I first got my bottle of the original Benjoin bohem the smell was faint almost this I assume it had a lot to do with being nose blind. Fast forward 2 years later the fragrance is much more apparent richer and has much better projecting. I have my open bottle and a sealed one as well. It’s great having a fragrance that becomes a collectors item.

In the last month I purchased a 100ml bottle off eBay. Wasn’t much more expensive than purchasing a 75ml bottle retail. What a wonderful scent.

I would be surprised if the quality of natural oils and synthetic blends used in perfumery has not suffered under demand and lack of quality control, as have food products, etc. in last few years. I'm sure that fragrance houses and the industry as a whole would be reluctant to admit to that publicly.

I tested both against each other also when the new version came out. to me the difference is really noticeable. the new new one is not as deep or rich as the old one. to me its like comparing and EDT to an EDP. the original one is one of my favorites in my collection but I will never waste my money on the new one. really disappointed with diptyque !
