I love the theme/takeaway from the challenge! I have perfectionist tendencies too, so learning to appreciate small victories instead of feeling let down by not meeting an internalized metric or past "standard" is hard! Becky Chambers!!! I almost put that book down right before the monk met the robot. Picked it back up about a month later and I'm so glad!!! I loved the conversations the two had in the last third of the book, and I read the entire section from robot-meeting to the end in one sitting. Also I love that shirt design!!!!!

I feel like you are going to love reading The Island of Missing Trees, it is my favourite book of all time!! It’s so beautiful, but you definitely need to be in the right headspace, so take your time! I always want to annotate my books more, but what usually holds me back is, that if I didn't end up liking a book that much, I'm giving it away after finishing it. And I think people don't like to get books that have underlined and marked parts in them, because I'm also always happy, if I find used books in good condition. What's your opinion on that? personally, i LOVE buying used books with annotations! if anything I look for old beat up books. shows the book was loved IMO. i think its so interesting to see what the person before me thought. it also helps with classics, as previous annotations can help dissect the text. that's just me tho :) hope this helped
