Are you confused after reading the AU in the beginning? If so, I can try to explain it to you here. Yes, little Daniel and big Daniel are two different people, they met when Daniel was in his old school at the outskirts and became kind of like “friends.” When Daniel went to J High, Dazai followed him. The two different body phenomena does not exist here, hence why their pasts would be different
