I was on the Columbia ferry going to Juneau August 25, so I guess I just missed you. I bunked in the solarium, and I loved it so much! I developed a huge appreciation for those taking their vehicles out on these adventures, it seems the roads of Alaska are legendary for situations like the one that has befallen you. Thanks for putting forth your positive attitude with the events, it's not easy and yes, it's expensive but you're out there and doing it, and we all know most people think about doing things that they never actually do - you are way ahead of the game no matter what the circumstances. Thank you! I hope so. I’m still trying to figure out what led to all of this. Maybe it was just that bearing’s time to go, or maybe the lubrication system got fouled up and wasn’t properly supplying oil anymore.

When you put the new block together, use Teflon coated rod bearings, that will save wear on cold starts If you can send the rings out to WPC in CA for WPC treatment that will keep the cylinder bore wear down and compression up for long time

@@BenStinnett if you want to drive the Troopy for a few years it is the cheapest ( half fuel cost per mile !! ) and best way to have a car without damage . If you sell the Troopy perhaps in the future you get much more money
