Hello lovely lady, I love, love your tutorials. I am wanting to make a headband that looks just like the shawl in this video including the stitch the knots and the graduated V. I don't think Theresa is making videos, do you think you could help me?
@LoomaHat8 жыл бұрын
Hi Dawk - do you mean you want headband with the knots or the drop stitch. Keep in mind that headbands are best with a stitch that has some elasticity
@livdamnit69988 жыл бұрын
+LoomaHat.com I'd like the main part to be whatever stitch that works as a headband and then on the backside to have kinda a handkerchief style with the same stitch and the knots on the edge but also be a V in the back like a handkerchief. I'm not good at describing things hope you understand. Thank you for your tutorials. I just finished a glove following your lesson thank you.

This is a really pretty cast on. I just used it for a washcloth, except that I alternated a single, double,single, double, etc. It looks great.

I'm new to loom knitting and am amazed how many stitches there are. I love all your videos. I also was wondering if you were able to do a bind off for this pattern.

I would love to use this cast on for a scarf but it's not really much use if I can't bind off. I see many comments over the last 2 years from people who are waiting. I'm guessing they have given up and moved on. Please, please, please take the time to finish what you started.

Would love to do the triangle drop stitch with knotted cast on shown in this video in a shoulder shawl maybe. It looks great in the yarn you used in the turquoise colour. I Hope you are still around and will consider doing this from beginning to end.

Hi, Do you have a video on how to make the blue cowl using the Knotted Cast on? It is beautiful and I would love to make it. I'm just not certain how to use the Knotted Cast on to start a scarf. Thank you for posting your videos. Your stitches you have created are great. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Theresa, I love this stitch. I saw that you did this video a couple of years ago. In the comments below you mentioned doing a video for the drop stitch cowl. I love it. Could I get the link for it? I like that color of yarn too. I think I even have some. :) Thank you for sharing your talents. I have seen your other videos as well. Take care, Jlee

Thank you so much for the video, I absolutely love your knotted cast on! But I've got a little problem: You promised another video for the graduated cast on and for the bind off, but I can't find those videos. I like to make a triangular shawl on the 168 peg kb knitting loom, using the triple knotted cast on with your waterfall stitch. Can you please help a German loom addict? Thax

How do you do this with casting off?
@enska33 жыл бұрын
For those wondering about the cast off, I just tried to do it tonight basically by doing the same thing as the cast on. For the first bind off I used the loop that was there as the first part of the "purl off". Then when I was done with the purl, I moved that loop to the next peg and did the purl off with those two loops. I think it looked okay although I ended up with one extra knot that stuck out. It could be because I was slipping stitches on the edge. Also, I did an extra purl row at the beginning and end, but it appeared like there was one less purl row at the end, so maybe more purls needed to be added in our maybe the bind off should be purl and then purl over. I'm not sure. This isn't very helpful but maybe among us we can figure out out completely.

Hiw I did the cast off was use the loop on the peg for my first knot, made the rest of the knots, purl the loop,transfer it to the last one made, bind off and transfer back to the original peg.

Due to the fact that the person in this video is making up her own personal terminology to name the stitches she is using (as opposed to using the stitches' proper names) this tutorial is hard to follow and not much use. I suspect that what she is referring to as a "purl over" (her own made-up term) is just a true knit stitch. That's what it looks like, but it's hard to tell. She also seems to be doing the chunky braid stitch (also known as 3 over 1, but she is doing 2 over 1 instead) and calling it something else. Can anyone confirm that those (true knit and 2 over 1) are indeed the stitches she is using? And can anyone please provide the ACTUAL (official, not made-up) names of any and all other stitches used in this particular cast-on?
@jessicamanes46357 жыл бұрын
Her purl over is not the same as a true knit stitch. She is looping the top over the peg and not removing the stitch as opposed to a true knit stitch you remove the loop and place it back on. But it's nice to know how incredibly rude you are!!!!
