Denise, I think you are the BEST teacher!! I always look for your videos. I have been teaching kids to knit at my church and we use one of your beginner's hat videos. They are making one hat to donate next fall and one hat to keep. My goal is to have at least 100 hats to donate. Thank you for making so many great tutorials available for free. Amber

Wow Thank You DENISE! I inherited some pretty sashay (mesh) yarn and didn’t want to make ruffled anything so I tried a headband wrap on a 12 peg loom(worked over 10 pegs flat) and it came out so puffy and plush but I tried regular cast off and it became wider and twisted and generally icky looking, so I had to frog it (and being mesh it was impossible to get the actual loops to re attach the body to the loom -sad face) completely and start over …so I looked again for flat bind offs for scarves and this video came up! Wow! It worked so nicely for me ! I tightened it a wee bit once done and then I joined the ends for a twist wrap and it’s beautiful! I love your videos! Thank you!

Hello Denise! I do not know what I am doing wrong, but after I do the steps for the first three pegs, when I get ready to take the stitch off the first peg it seems as if there are two stitches on that peg. ??? Thx!!!

Thank you but I have a big issue I have a sloom with 196 pegs. I'm using Bernal yarn and I want to take it off This is my 1st queen size blanket. Is there a way that I put another yarn thru each loop and take off the there is a way I pull those loops thru each other and it looks like a chain crochet when your done Or should I do it different. My stitches I used was 2 ewrap and 2 k1p1 ended with and extra row of ewrap. Help. You can get me on fbm

Mine didn't turn out, but I figured our what I did wrong. Be sure to scoop down on 3rd peg and up in 2nd peg. Although she scooped up on very first peg, that is the only time the 1st peg of 3 is knitted.

thank you thank you thank you, i have tried several videos and yours was the easiest to follow due to the speed and camera angle. I am curious if there are any particular cast ons this works best with or if it is universal. Again thank you for sharing this, I have learned so much watching your videos. Blessings

Hi Denise can this cast off be used on the sleeping lamb lovey and the doll lovey I used the basic bind off modified that you show in the sleepy lamb video and it didnt come out stretchy like the cast on side
@lorisquires50383 жыл бұрын
Wonderful! Problem: on large project, working yarn was shredding and twisting and making me nuts. Solution: pull WY up thr 3rd peg, making 2" loop. Stop. Pull the loop down thr middle peg. Continue to pull WY all the way. Helped with large project shred.

I'm doing the exact same thing. But my loops are to big. What am I doing wrong? Months of working on a blanket and its ruined
@LoomaHat3 ай бұрын
Hi Valerie- sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties. You can pull on those loose loops the same way you would do loose loops from a cast-on to tighten them. Also, I recommend only using techniques that you’re VERY familiar with before using them on a large project. Considering trying them on a small swatch first.

@@LoomaHat ive done these before. Not sure why it didn't work.

This bind off is great! But what is the best cast on to match this bind off??

I use the eWrap - but it requires that you tighten the loose loops when you’re done

That's one problem that I had been having: the bind-off edge of my project would come out way tighter than the cast-on edge; a) it wouldn't look right, and b) if I'm making a sleeve or something, it's just no bueno. XP
