Your thoughts on finales is so true to me. I hear when shows/seasons end fans talking about crying but I honestly never get as emotionally invested. I always preferred the build up at the start of season or midseason finales. They hit more with thoughts of "what if" and the potential of the story for the rest of the show which fills my mind with inspiration and theroies. So episodes of TOH like Separte Tides, and Thanks to Them feel way more impactful to me.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was only okay with the TOH finale. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED some moments, like when Eda and King lost their minds when Luz died, and Collector learning what death means. But for me the real highlights of the episode were the art. Luz's titan form, Eda and King's more beast-like forms, a TON of the background art (like the Titan shots and Belos' fungal stuff. That all looked SO GOOD). And then the soundtrack. The more quiet, pensive rendition of the ending(?) Theme song was just beautiful. BUT Story wise I was personally not hit much, ya know? I feel bad cuz a lot of my friends cried during the finally, and the show means a lot to them, but for me, I was like "My eyes are dry. Sad we couldn't get more lore. Love the art and music. Guess that's it." I just, idk, yeah. I think the episode that meant most to me was S2 E3. Just learning about King's origin and his whole paradigm shift when he realizes his life story was a lie. It hurt, bad. THAT episode made me cry the most. Not that I didn't have a few writing qualms with it but it's still the closest episode to my heart. After that, I'd say S2 E1, cuz that's when we officially meet Hunter. Love that boy. Hmm, though i think i love every episode with him in it cuz he's my fave 😂 (And I'll personally never get over how Jean-Luc was forgotten)

I’m glad someone finally said something about the TOH finale. I was left with a sense of ‘meh’ after watching it while the rest of the fandom was basically imploding (though tbf I did cry but I’m so sentimental that that doesn’t mean much 😂). I was sitting there like “did we watch the same thing?” The time skip was cute but there’s something about the writing or the pacing of the main episode that just throws everything off for me and I can’t quite put my finger on what it is. Also I don’t like the titan luz design. In many of the shots the lighting turns her skin orange-orange and that with the black sclera and glowing eyes? Babe that’s a jack-o-lantern I’m sorry. Love your art btw! ❤

Okay, unpopular opinion, I do not like Loona or Blitzo and Stolas together. Loona just feels like a character that is so inconsistent, and it pisses me off. And Blitzo and Stolas' relationship is just toxic. I know thats the point but the way its written feels like their middle schoolers with crushes on each other. And have an argument one day and the next making out on a bench at the park. I think it'd be better if Stolas was the only one that wanted more, but Blitzo doesnt but also feels unworthy of his love and wants nothing to do with him

And Stolas was at first an interesting character, he was a creepy sexual harasser trapped in a (assumingly) loveless marriage, then S2 E1 came and then suddenly he was a sad uwu protecc him boi you have to feel sorry for now. It's not his fault he coerces Blitz to fuck him so the guy can keep doing his job, he's just being abused and in love. Sorry for that tangent, I just really dislike Stolas.😅
