My therapist just recommended these to me today. I have adult ASD and have sensory issues, one of them being loud sounds. Thank you so much for breaking each product down and for the test. This helped me decide which one to get (Engage 2).

I been looking for something like this, I was agoraphobic for many years (about 12) and I got better with exposure therapy. Only issue is I can't go out without headphones on. And people can see them really easy. I would love something that dampens sound and still lets me speak to people without having to take my headphones off. Its kind embarrassing to take them off just to speak to someone.

Does the switch really work as well as all the separate plugs?
@aktanuki3 ай бұрын
same question, I hope we get a response!
@azopxt3 ай бұрын
@@aktanuki The general consensus is that quiet work substantially better at muting noise than the "quiet mode" on the Switch, and are WAY more practical to sleep with for their size and materials. As for replacing the engage and experience, people say yea, thats good. In my opinion, the best option is the bundle on their page that comes with Quiet 2 + Switch, unless you care about fashion and bulkiness, in that case get quiet 2 + engage, experience are not as good for everyday use, they are meant for concerts and tweak the sound on a unnatural way

I have a question, as an audiologist do these actually provide hearing protection? I've been using Hocks Noise Breakers for years and they work on the same filter principle but are not comfortable. I have tinnitus and I'm always concerned that although filtered ear plugs claim to protect your hearing through use of "The Accelerated Resonant Decay Principle" (basically converting noise to heat). Can they actually protect your ears when they still have a small open channel in the form of the filter? Great video by the way, lots of good information, looking forward to your response.

yes they do. they are designed to protect your ear while maintainig sound quality. i love em

They claim they protect your hearing but without equipment to test it consumers can't know for sure.

@@dragonlover1 totally agree, I've been asking this question everywhere about these. I even asked loop and they just came back with the usual sales jargon, no technical data sheets etc

I'm very interested in getting these because I also have horrible bilateral tinnitus as it is and I recently started dating a woman who has gotten me back into the concert scene and I want to be able to protect what is left of my hearing while still enjoying the experience of concerts again. She also has tinnitus and I want to get something for both of us (both veterans) and I saw these on Instagram recently and am very interested in knowing if there is ACTUAL protection and not just filtering going on here.

My partner is extremely hard of hearing and always cranks up the tv to levels that are way too loud for me (usually 75-100 while I usually set it between 12-24). I have a pair of Quiet Loops and they do a decent job of actually blocking the sound to protect my ears, although I do add my noise-canceling over-ear headphones on top if I really need to study or focus.
@Ma11non5 ай бұрын
This video was really helpful, thank you! I think I'll go with Quiet 2 or the Switch. I want to use it mostly for in the office (lots of talking and sometimes I need to focus, but I also want to stay present in case someone wants to talk to me) but also at home, because I have noisy neighbours. The only problem is that most of their noise comes from the bass sounds from the music they play loud, and I doubt earplugs will prevent me from hearing it. When I listened to the sound test, with all earplug the bass of the music was still very audible. If you happen to have any advice for this specific issue, I'm all ears (pun intended). Again, I appreciate the time you took making this video, it was really helpful.

im highsensituve for noise. i work in a workshop and take care of mentally disabled ppl. they are often very loud (15 ppl in a workshop with stone walls, so lots of echoing) and all those noises drain my energy completly after 2/3 hours.... with those, i still hear it when someone wants somthing, or they verbally fight eachother or whatever. but i can concentrate way better (i also have a strong adhd) i use the engage, and sometimes the experience ones when its realy loud) i didnt testet the quiet yet. but the others i have over 1 year now

Hi! I got the switch and quite mode does not take out the blender sound in another room completely. Is that supposed to happen? Or should I get the Quiet 2 instead?
@azopxt3 ай бұрын
Switch are great for everyday use, and mimic the 3 individual products decently, but the quiet mode is the least similar yo the actual individual Quiet earplugs Many people bought the switch for daily use, and use the quiet mode on the city etc, and engage mode for talking, and aditionally those people claim the better option is to also buy a pair of Quiet 2's and use those in louder scenarios, and specially for sleep

Hello! For noise reduction at office I use small bluetooth earphones. Dres the Loop Quiet reduce noise more than headphones?
@HearSoundly4 ай бұрын
If your earbuds have active noise cancelation it’s likely that they do more to block noise than passive Quiet 2 devices. If your earbuds are only passive then Quiet 2 will almost certainly do more. Hope this helps!
