Thankyou! It's hard to give specific instructions as I'm just doing what comes naturally. I'm using a plectrum that isn't too hard. I'm on the bridge and middle pickups (position 2) on the strat which gives a lighter sound. I think I have the tremolo pedal on for most of this but only for a very subtle modulation, plus a little delay and reverb but nothing too out of the ordinary. After 3:45 I turn the tremolo off, switch the pickup to neck (position 5) and play with my fingers rather than a pick, this all gives for a fuller tone that I really like. But yeah, take it easy, experiment, and let the guitar do the work!

I've done this one in a pretty normal tuning. The guitar's actually down a semitone (just because that's what I was using at the time) but with a capo on 2, so then end result is up a semitone. So I'm playing in the Key of A but it comes out in Bb which is the original key. Whe I do this without a loop station I sometimes tune the low E down to a super-low A and play the bassline with the two open A's. Or again, with a capo to get it into Bb. All the chord shapes are quite straightforward - take the A shape on the B, G and D strings, move it up to a Bm shape, then two frets higher for a C# etc :-)

Thanks. I'm using a tremolo pedal very very gently, just to lend a softer tone. When I get to the keyboard solo moment, I turn it off, but I also change to the neck pickup and go fingerstyle, and it's these things that affect the tone more. I may also have been using the memory boy delay which gives a nice warm echo, and reverb on the fender amp. The other pedals in the shot are korg tuner, snarling dogs wah (which I don't use much) and a big muff, not used in this.

Basically yes... Although the whole guitar was tuned down 1 semitone, then it's capo'd at the second fret, which is the same as if you capo'd a normal guitar at the first fret:)
