Playing killer clowns are cursed acting roles look at IT & Joker
@deancrawford74705 жыл бұрын
Joker was the most fun Heath Ledger ever had on a movie, there’s a lot of misconceptions and hysteria surrounding his death. People look for the easy narrative that creates a story and think “well he was playing a maniacal sociopath no wonder becoming that character destroyed him” where this thought couldn’t he further from the truth. The Joker was a dream role for Heath just watch the documentary, also all of the cast talk about how amazing he was on the set. He wasn’t doing a Daniel day Lewis or Jared Leto style method acting, between takes he would just he himself. As far as I’m aware Jack Nicholson had a blast with the role too, Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal is very different than what we would conventionally expect from the Joker but nonetheless he was given the freedom to create a truly unique character that will go down in the history of cinema. Tim Curry clearly had a lot of fun playing Pennywise but he spoke a lot on the extremely long hours he had to spend in Make-up and so on but this is a common factor with these types of characters. So based on all this I disagree with you completely, I don’t think they’re cursed roles by any means. Just difficult ones that are taxing mentally but like I said these are dream gigs for actors🙌

But, thinking about how freaky they got with Pennywise in the 1st remake.. there's plenty of content to go freakishly dark with in #2. Especially with today's "no holds barred" style of films. "IT" is my favorite movie, cuz of the great acting and the humor involved too. I also have a HUGE interest in clowns, as I have loved them for years on end

I disagree. More comical than scary imo
@christopheraguilar82735 жыл бұрын
@@xxxxxDUSTYxxxxx I think that's what made Bill's performance better. The false sense of safety. Clowns are funny and comical, Bill made the role what it's supposed to be; you laugh and laugh then you realize "oh shit this is an entity that not only consumes kids but universes as well"

Rewatch the mini series. It sucked. Tim and bill play pennywise different. I prefer the bill one tho.

That quote about the kid crying ends with the director saying cut and the kid snaps out of character instantly
