Squirtoria is another rare unit to get a buff here. She only has a couple more confirmed banners, but I highly recommend picking her up if you want a good looping archer. Her ability to deprive bosses of their NPs and just keep the pressure on them is unparalleled! Still this buff is not one that I would have given her. When I saw all the summer units getting a buff and the last day had a 5 star archer I jokingly said to myself, they should buff Summer Artoria. Then they did... I would have liked to see either a NP buff, make the drain 100% or buff the heal, remove the demerit, and add the battery there.

A part of me thinks they wanted to give NP1 Artorias a way to deal with the drain on her second skill like Shiki. Another part of me thinks they gave her this because back during Chaldea Boys they for gave Emiya Alter a battery. And as much as people say that Kuro is a 4* Archer Artoria I think that title fits Emiya Alter more.

Squirtle was my first ssr back around anni 3 when I started playing. I had no idea how rare her rate ups were and how lucky I was to snag her. Glad to see she's living her best life

One of my many regrets in fgo is not rolling for np5, She's carried me throughout the game so many times that I should of gotten her np higher on her most recent banner.

Cute Orangette is another CE worth considering if you have it. All ATK scaling with 30% NP Gain and 20% NP damage. It's a Valentine Gatcha CE though which is good in a sense that it comes back basically every year when valentines roles around. Unfortunately it was released with the MHXA Valentine event and back then they did a banner for boys and girls with seperate CEs in each banner so the rerun banners have it sharing rate up with another 5 star CE.

Squritoria has blessed me to the point i have her NP4 before getting NP5 Summer Martha. Carried me hard against non-lancer challenge quest and sometimes able to farm with the right cards of course.

She is already very good even before the buff (i.e. on JP). She was able to crush most single target challenge quests.

I've been using Mark of Smiling Face as the CE on my Squirtoria pretty regularly. While it doesn't give you starting charge, double Castoria kind of makes that irrelevant. But, the attack scaling, 15% boost to Arts Card, 15% NP Gain boost and 20% NP Strength boost combos very nicely with Squitoria's kit, making it even easier for her to loop and gives her some much needed multiplicative modifiers to her NP damage. As for the buff, I would have much rather seen her S2 lose the demerit and cleanse her or her S3 get better numbers over this buff. The Sure Hit is nice, but the NP Battery is kind of irrelevant given how good her core kit is. I would have also preferred to see her get an NP Interlude, boosting the drain effect to 100% finally. I think either of these upgrades would have been better for her overall.

I want Squirtoria much more than Arcueid. I have failed every time to get her. I won't again and I will make sure to have the SQ to back that up. Chloe has been fantastic in that role with 0 complaints. But I will have Squirtoria.

Sign of a Smiling face CE is kinda the best of worlds for looping and damage obliviously not as powerful as BG for damage but it's benefit is there if damage is not so much of an issue. Use it lot on my Summer Musashi to get through Assassin and Berserker nodes.

Of all the SSR archers that could have been buffed, Squritoria was MOST DEFINITELY not one that needed it.

Yeah, they really should buff OG Orion/Artemis. What is the point of 5* unit if its job is done better by 3* Euryale?

It's kind of sad that they buffed her since it was practically bragging rights being one of the best servants in the game for its entire run that didn't have a single buff.

Getting a buff is fine, and sure the battery makes her more flexible, but she'd have really rather had a damage upgrade imo. The future is always open though

see this is where I have an issue with their 14 buffs per anniversary thing... we have almost 400 servants now in the game(based on JP) and they are only doing 14 skill OR NP buff per anniversary?? are you kidding me??? each servant has 3 skills and an NP so among almost 400 servants that's about 1,600 skill or NP buffs that need to be given. and we only get 14 out of that over a thousand per year??? sure let's say the newer servants don't really need buffs and some servants have already been buffed but that's what? 100.. maybe 200 skills or NP that are either buffed or doesn't need one?? we STILL have over a thousand buffs that servants not want but NEED!! Arjuna's charge skill is still awkward, Arthur's is long overdue and Iskandar.. oh Iskandar I'm so sorry, King. this is one of my main issues with the 8th anniversary. I don't care about the anniv servant. they can release whoever the hell they want but THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE. the UI is still garbage. we still have to wait 10 seconds of refresh time instead of just letting us pick among our 100 friends and *THEY ARE STILL BUFFING 14 SKILLS or NPs per ANNIVERSARY* why can't we just have normal buffs per patch like other games?? like I don't even care about losing the 2 sqs (it's 2 sqs per buff, it's not a big deal.. that's 28 sq per buff assuming you have all 14 servants in the buff list but if you don't sucks to suck). there are even servants who are completely unusable but STILL haven't gotten any buff. and I'm not even exaggerating. Geronimo.. just Geronimo. and then this whatever the hell this is with Summer Artoria.. who asked for this?? she doesn't need charge! she's literally the best refunder in the game....... what kind of clownery is this?? if they wanted her to take care of that 10 np charge demerit then buff THAT skill! replace the np charge demerit with star loss demerit it's not like we are still back in 2016-2018 starving for stars anyway. or better yet buff her skill 3! what is with the awkward 18%?? why aren't they going on a crusade correcting every awkward charisma buff like what they're doing with all the instinct skills?? what are we doing here sorry for ranting. it's just REALLY frustrating when people say the anniv was good or bad just because of Tonelico when in fact, she isn't the issue, everything else is.

Isn't it 14 buffs per campaign? Well, it took some time, but we are now dealing with the problem of overpopulation. As you mentioned, with over 400 servants it is really hard for older units to stay relevant. Some of them are usable nowadays, be it by their good basics like Squirtoria or very good buffs (and the fact that devs sometimes don't stop at only one buff per unit or even skill/NP) but at the end of a day there are a lot of servants that just are in dire need of help. Some of them can be salvaged by one or two good buffs - you mentioned Iskandar. Some of them were pretty screwed by the early game design. Assassins for example with their 0,9 dmg modifier, because they are supposed to generate a lot of stars and crit with them - but who uses assassins to generate stars today? My triple arts oriented teams are more consistent at doing crit damage than triple assassin teams I take to beat some rider nodes. Some servants were screwed because devs wanted to do some experiment. Jekyll & Hyde is prime example of this. Some were just screwed by the devs because... I don't know. Units like Geronimo or Benkei probably need to have their entire skill kits reworked. Scathach NP gain is so abysmal that I can go with other units form 0-100% NP twice in time it takes me to get to one Gae Bolg Alternative. But for Lasagne it is more profitable to sell us another alt of beloved servant. Or another OP "easy way to do stuff in game" - there was Skadi who allowed Quick looping, still you needed to start from high NP gauge. Then there was Castoria, who allowed us to arts loop with Black Grail or with 6 drop CE comps - we have 90+ nodes with 1 unit beginning or middle wave. Buster looping? Here is Koyanskaya of Light! Now you don't need to care about how many enemies there are! Oh, and there is Oberon to push your damage even further (nowadays you just wonder why the hell there is 0,23 multiplier at the damage formula, if we crossed 7 digit numbers long ago). So here are 90++ nodes with super high HP enemy at the end (90% bosses at part one were easier than this FARMING nodes). And between all of this they will throw at you some upgrades to raise your hopes and keep you playing, because they MIGHT one day buff your fav servant and make him viable.

@@MrArrino yes it is 14 buffs... lemme fix that (fixed) but that still doesn't change my point.. the number of buffs per anniv are way too low.. honestly it should be minimum 50 at this point and don't worry I agree with everything you said. especially the stars thing. that's also one of the problems, honestly. Quick's main purpose for existing is to generate stars but now we have so much stars that it's like 1 out of the 3 card types just doesn't exist. and oh my god Jekyll and Hyde... what were they thinking??? ya know what would be the EASIEST way to fix the whole "we can't buff old servants because we can't sell new ones" debacle? JUST RERUN BANNERS!!! I'm sure Karna and Raikou enthusiasts would have no problem spending for their favorite servants after the buff but... nothing. instead we got a Space Ishtar banner for some reason?? (even though I would argue her 3rd skill having an 80% success chance needs a buff too) they are making simple things way more complicated than they should be
