I decided to make a video out of one of my practice sessions using Maschine+ as a looper. I recorded some simple audio tracks, some midi and some scratching in this one and I'm pretty happy with the result even though its a bit different. I also go through the process and the setup to shine some light on how the session is made. I hope that's useful :D

I love the looper setup to record to pads instead of takes. I used a SonicPort VX to record my daughter's Maracas and my guitar. I really love the possibilities of M+

Hey accurate! I have been following you for quite a while now, and it's good to see that you are doing well in regards to your surgery. Now that you have been using the akai mpc one for a while, what do you think of the smaller pads? I want to get a mpc to produce some beats. And all factors point towards the mpc one (best price, more buttons than the live, more portable than the X, etc...) but I am mainly a drummer and I value a good finger drumming experience. So the one thing holding me back from buying a mpc one are the smaller pads. What do you think of them? Is the feeling and the velocity sensitivity and the overall experience much worse? Awesome! So is the external audio interface only used so you can sample things via a mic? As in if I only want to sample guitar and NI sounds (via Komplete Kontrol)...do I basically hook up maschine as a looper, and route audio directly from guitar into it, and also route audio from say Logix X into maschine?

Yeah, it’s really seem less too. This isn’t how I use Maschine for the most part but it’s a really fun way to just jam away. The vinyl is just a normal, black control record for Traktor with an Accurate beats sticker on the label. I love stickers :)

Hi, amazing video! I am a bit stuck myself, would you give me a hand, please? I need help setting up a project to play a song live, I do all my music on FLS and I bought the Maschine MK3 to play all the .wav (stems) at the same time and apply effects on it, I put the files and the song starts, but as soon as I stop it the only way to continue is to start the song all over from 0. What's the way to do it so the samples continue from the point I stopped them and not from the beginning? Thanks.

Great run down! Is it possible to record an initial loop with a blank slate (no tempo/click/bars), then have that loop establish the tempo? Kind of like a looper pedal where you don’t record to an initial metronome or anything...

This is so important when creating a beat from scratch in front of an audience. The only sampler I've seen anyone do that on is that chompi thing. I hope maschine or mpc have such a feature but I haven't seen anyone use it.

@@lazrseagull54 Totally agree when it comes to building from scratch live! I use the Loopy app on my iPad for this type of workflow and it’s been great for me for many years. I was kind of surprised when I started checking out other gear looking for a similar blank-slate looping workflow that it’s not as common as I would have guessed.

I had to check if I had the playback was on double speed or something but no it was the drums and fm8 ... just didn’t feel any of the sounds this time. I liked it when you added the performance FX and everything sounded less trebly and more warm and LoFi.

M32 can be connected to the M+ USB-A port at the back. I noticed that you should connect it after M+ is completely started up, otherwise it is not recognized.

I’m not sure what I did for this specific one but sometimes I record from an aux cable into the camera, other times I record the audio separately onto the computer or a zoom recorder. You’re never hearing the music in my room… That doesn’t work for me 🤪
