Great vid, really loved the down-to-earth way he goes through his process. Must admit I will never understand the mentality of spending all that time fine tuning and fading the chords at the beginning to make them sound like they are the correct length when there is $5k of Moog One sitting just behind you with the sound loaded into it, and you are a pianist. Just play the damn sequence again how you want it! Or better yet record the midi data when your session guy is in so you can manipulate that and chop it about. On the other hand, I don't have any Grammies so whatever he is doing it is working for him! 😁

I feel heavily disrespected by NI. I thought "surely, they wouldn't release a standalone groovebox that can't handle polyrhythms or polymeter, right?" and then you did. And it's been about a year or two since the product launched, and this issue still hasn't been fixed. Tell me how I'm supposed to play a set with Maschine+ that requires immediate tempo shifts or has a few bars in an odd time signature without getting an external midi clock or ableton link enabled device hooked up as the master? Stop disrespecting your userbase with these bunk ass advertisements disguised as tutorials! I don't want to see another NI ad until you guys have added: Pattern chaining, assigning time signatures on the pattern/scene level, an adaptive grid in the arrange view that accommodates time and tempo changes, sample latching/SP-404 style pad holds, the ability to name lock states and automate lock-state changes, and redone pattern system that allows you to change the beat/grid resolution and pattern length on a per-sound basis, plus step probability. Adding all of that would make Maschine+ worth $1500.
