Thanks for this. This is a really good way to get your IAA only synths (like the Korg iM1 , iMonyPoly , etc. synths) into Loopy.

Thank you. Knowing that it can be done helps inspire me to dig a bit deeper.

Awesome. I started my demo week and I have big concerned about loopy just because I am an old school player and probably I am getting older for this fancy layout but thanks to your video I am inspired to fired up 30 bucks. Cheers mate.

I been looking for this type of set up forever. Thanks for sharing this info. I could never really use Aum because I like to record in sequence style……that file player was not doing it for me.

Loopy Pro is awesome, but I’ve been having difficulty working within the app as a stand-alone. I think I just haven’t jelled with the workflow yet. Getting something started with AUM, on the other hand, makes perfect sense to me. From there I think I could switch over to LP and continue working. I’m going to try it! Thanks for the succinct tutorial.

You could set up a template in AUM, for example, with MIDI assignments to control opening/closing all of your windows to make this workflow even faster! You've given me that idea lol. One thing I love about LP is that it's very easy to take a session inside something like AUM and copy the entire set up into another project in the standalone version. I'll have to give working inside AUM more of a go.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge here - but how does one set up midi assignments to open and close app windows? TIA!

@@40791 In AUM, tap the menu icons to the left of the plug-in window. Can’t remember which one, but you’ll find it. Apps that support MIDI-mapping will have all the options there. And AUM always supports a Bypass. AUM will recognise whatever hardware controller you connect, and there is a MIDI learn function inside AUM. You should be able to find plenty of KZbin tutorials that cover this sort of thing. Haq Attaq comes to mind.

Thanks! I was wondering about that. Now I know!

It would be great if you could list the stuff that aum can do that loopy cannot as I dont see the point of using aum in the way that you demonstrated? I just load the apps into channels on loopy and then i dont have to swap screens around and waste cpu on aum.

This is really interesting. I guess it suits more of a live jamming sort of composition rather than a piano roll setup. What’s the lovely pad that’s in the fourth loop from?
@RichardYot2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I thought I had already replied - that pad is from the new SampleWiz app.

I’m doing this as well I found the standalone LP couldn’t do everything AUM can with respect to midi parameters and apps. I’m wondering what is downside it looks fully functional as an Auv3 looper only drawback is it cannot load Auv3 inside but aum works around this
@RichardYot2 жыл бұрын
Thanks - I can't see any drawbacks personally, for me this is the easiest workflow.

Very cool. Do you think using AUM is easier than loading sources directly to the loopy pro mixer?
@RichardYot2 жыл бұрын
I think so, yes. Plus there's an on-screen keyboard that makes it easy to play any app.
@DespairQuietlyPlease2 жыл бұрын
@@RichardYot Yes as standalone it isn’t yet fully functional…midi sourcing doesn’t work yet tried feeding GeoShred midi into swam trumpet but no joy…works fine in AUM
@Steve.Dennis2 жыл бұрын
I def think you should try working with LP standalone. I thought initially I would be using LP inside AUM, but quickly abandoned that idea for my needs. I still use AUM of course, particulary for sound design, and then I might record loops in AUM and import manually into LP standalone. LP handles AUs very well IMO. Might depend on what hardware you have, e.g. if AUM on screen keyboard is important. But you can easy add something like KB-1 in LP and assign it quickly enough.

Using IAAs in Loopy Pro is not stable. Better in AUM
