I remember I was in Iraq during the Gulf War and I was so sick of being there. I was suicidal, homesick, broke. I saw this video on Video Music Box, yes they had that in Iraq, Lol, and it changed my life. 27 years, a beautiful wife and 3 fantastic children later and all I can say is thank you Loose Ends for this song. It saved my life.

We need to give Loose Ends their flowers! Carl was and is a wildly talented producer and Jane Eugene from the original line up had the sweetest voice. The quiet keyboard player was hot. Dial 999 is my all time fav. Love them from their first album and forever.

i have to admit when Steve Nichols and Jane Eugene left Loose Ends I thought they were done. But give Carl MacIntosh credit he reinvented to group and sound. Although this version of Loose Ends only released one album it was just as strong as previous albums. I wished this version would have released another album because they seemed to be hitting their stride. And they didn't even showcase Sunay Suleyman who had a decent voice. she sang lead on only one song which was Love Controversy. Seeing they were moving into New Jack the next album would have probably been just as good.

Clint Shaw - That's exactly what it is, Clint. I believe where we were in life at that particular time sets up a very powerful aura of nostalgia that is difficult to shake. But "Look How Long" was the favorite of a close friend that year who later died very brutally to gun violence after my favorite cousin was murdered a month prior. So yes, these do factor in, however, the subject matter of the songs of that album truly resonate with my vibration and thoughts about relationships and life in general as well. The perfect infusion of hard hip hop beats, hooks and samples with funk and R&B provided for a smooth as well as energetic mix of the timeless kind for me. Definitely, peace and blessings!

I’m sitting here thinking about so many things and literally this song came to mind. Had to come and listen. Still effective in 2020 and beyond.

puff the magic dragon's got u....🎶🎵🔥🔥💯😆my upbringing on music was Fuckin superb, being a 70s baby & all. I had the wonderful opportunity to have experienced sum excellent groups bands solo artists etc. makes me over stand / appreciate greatness and knowing its roots etc. black music from the 70s- mid 90s was exclusively impeccable 👐👇. nothing today or tmrw will EVER compare ....EVER! folks were themselves & weren't afraid to be. lots of originality creativity exploration and down rite talent. groovy smooth shit was being put out by a plethora of people all over the world, yup even Britain (the u.k)

Impossible not to reminisce when I hear this. Great to be in a UK club in this era. 30+ years later I would get some funny looks if I went in one now!😄

This takes me all the way back to my high school days in 1990 when this video was first shown on TV. I was impressed with its photography and numerous filming angles!!!
