Captain Fantastic brought me here..I wish I could live like that familly..Those areas are quickly disappearing though. Here in Quebec, Canada, the vast northern forests are all but gone to the wood industry. And sadly, replanting has limited success; Land-slides, deer, parasites and the weather do the most damage. Vast areas of chaotic terrain with patches of neatly spaced trees make up the landscape. It is an odd and sad (to tears) sight. A well known local artist denounced the situation in his 1999 doc. "L'erreur Boréale" (The boreal mistake) and sadly, some 18 years later, things have not gotten better in the least. I've seen with my own eyes. I can attest to the same situation in British Columbia..and the south American jungles are dwindling away.. We need to stop what we are doing. This frenzied consuming that we all work so hard to entertain. Quit buying crap you were made to beleive you need and find or create jobs that will help this planet..our home to us all. We are polluting the very thing that keeps us alive and for what ?! I don't know what else to say..

@@ericbryant6097 I think the message of the film was that he was a good dad, and the intentions were proper, but he was obsessed with an extreme lifestyle and his own visions instead of nurturing his family. It's important to live a good life and to take care of the people you love, no matter what kind of life you live.

Absolutely amazing. I'm late Gen-X or early Millennial (depending on your choice of which of the nine thousand definitions are used to define the two similar and massive generations), and hearing this reminds me of music prior to around 2010 when you could still periodically (though at a rapidly decreasing frequency) come across some true synthesis of influences to produce something that's going to be part of you for the rest of your life.

But I heard it on The Colorado Sound , my favorite station here in Colorado , commercial free and plays positive music by request, you will hardly hear the same song twice , but I notice they love Israel Nash , and it’s usually a new song , not the same thing over and over to we’re you hate the song because you heard it a million times, but if he was on commercial radio, I do not think this would get old!!!
