Also open and conceal carry being legal helps too. A few "shoplifters" that tried that in a town near me learned the hard way couple of months ago. Some left the stores in bags, 6 were underage. The crying mommies on TV learned the hard way too, "raising" and protecting criminals is not legal either, my state, AL, age 15 commits adult crime, legally considered adult. Moral to story: Learn local laws when you travel.

Just moved out of a neighborhood I lived in for 11 years bc of one h hoodrat family, moved in with Covid $$, killing cats, shooting multiple times, loud parties…this is an old neighborhood of old oaks, camellias, wildlife…they cut down an old oak tree!!! I didn’t want to end up in prison but I gave my house away to get out. Several others moved out right after the first gun shots and police did nothing to them. If I had shot my weapon off 3x on Friday at 6 pm I would’ve still been in jail. Alas, I am white so the law does apply to me. I now live on 3.5 acres, fenced, gated, dogs, security cameras and a stash of weapons. Still had one come up to my fence trying to get me to walk up to where he was. I said “what do u want?’ He kept acting like he couldn’t hear me. Went on for several minutes and I think he’s standing right in front of a no trespassing sign. The thing is they don’t care. They know the cops aren’t going to do anything to them. He had the nerve to say be careful out there by myself. I looked at the cameras and said “I’m not by myself”. I can’t stand them and they seek me out.
