I think it is more about the spectacle of it all. We should deport those who entered this country illegally. In fact, that was what was being done underneath the previous administration. I would refer you to the numbers that ICE put out for the administrations deportation efforts. Their numbers surpassed that of trump’s from his first term. The problem, for me, is how he is conducting business. Utilizing two USAF C-17’s was grossly inappropriate from a cost/benefit standpoint. They could have consolidated those planes to one and still had more room for more undocumented people. It costs $20,000 an hour to operate that particular aircraft. It cost less than half that amount of money to use commercial.

@G5Ckxew great point. I saw several videos where hotel employees in some of the hotels where they are housed said that the rooms are destroyed and the hotels will have to be totally remodeled. They are entitled and ungrateful because everything is given to them so they don't even bother to keep up the rooms.

Unfortunately ICE can be very hostile at times. By wrongfully arresting a US veteran just a few days ago. Sure, they were released later, but that didn't really stop other incidents from occurring. A man spent months locked up before they even checked if he had citizenship. Another, Brian Bukle, was locked up for 36 days before his citizenship was checked. Even if someone lied to the man in the store, he still has a pretty good reason to remain afraid.
