Agreed, yeah there is a lot of chorus and reverb on her voice (I would prefer a little less), but still I really liked that song and this is not the music I would usually listen to, but this particular song is just mesmerizing

@@metalupyourass9247 i think the extra reverb in her voice is due to this being a sneak peek stream recording, the official song hasn't dropped yet and is still being mastered which is why OP couldn't find it linked anywhere. Can't wait for the final version to drop!

@@ArvelDreth Well I'm not a prude or anything but the original upload to me just sounds a little better. But the problem is only already compressed versions exist that aren't official so there's double compression happening. Xbox live party chat's voice chat quality IS atrocious though. And yes, I am one of those people who prefers lossless audio when listening to music, because that's how music is supposed to be experienced and no details are missing. But I'm not one of those psychos who's like "Lossless, or nothing". All I'm saying is for this song, compressed or not, an official release would be nice. A compressed proper rip from the original track is still better than any rip where they weren't able to use the original source.

Aethel probably came back to this after a lot of stuff happened and time passed by, simply was dissatisfied by the mix and some choices he made back then that made the track like it was back then and just proceeded to butcher the whole song. This is nothing against Aethel. I love every song he has ever released and The Waters Call always has been my favourite from the second I've heard it the first time. It was so mesmerising it pulled me in and I felt the call. Still do. The new mix just isn't able to make me feel that. Maybe it's just me, so this is why I think the old mix was better.
