it was the artwork for me. I still remember finding someone's uploaded version of meet me in the woods, but they had illustrated their own idea of the song and that thumbnail is definitely why I clicked. further diving into Ben's own personal art surrounding all of this further cemented my love

For me.... I heard Mine Forever on sirius xm. I instantly loved the retro sound and took a pic of my car's display so I could remember the band name. After that I was binging every LH album constantly. I think that first year Lord Huron and Manchester Orchestra consumed 100% of my listening habits.

7:25 "I stood back from the edge of a pure black void, Muttering ancient names in forgotten tongues. Staring up in the jeweled sky, Torn asunder by a moonbeam's silver sliver, I bare my bones beneath the Balancer’s eye, And cry never ever out into the chasmic cosmos. The universe yawns and lands its long-armed blows. By force of thunder, I’m thrust through the firmament, Slingshot somewhere out past the astral plane. Lost in time, lost in space. I scan the spinning sky in an awe and I spy an emerald star; this I follow. Across eons, beneath black oceans, passed places where darkness cools and pools when the night is over, I followed the emerald star, and by and by I return, diminished and daunted. The flowers grow and wilt and die, while I wait beside the river with the secret of life in hand, Staring into the pure black void."

I had a dream that you came to me shining down Through the clouds like a moonbeam There you were And you wore nothing more than your raven hair In the air like a moonbeam Here you were And you pulled me from a nightmare With your eyes and your silver touch Shone a little bit of light there Now the darkness don't scare me much La da da da La da da da You can feign your surprise, give me those doe eyes But I know I wanna love you Yes I do We can dance to the beat while I tap my feet On the stars, you're gonna like me Yes you are When you saved me from a bad dream I was drifting through time and space But I landed on a moonbeam Take me out of this place The world is dark the night is long I could use a few laughs and a couple of songs The sun will rise above the hills You'll be leaving me soon, like hell you will The owl gazing at the moon Is the feeling that I get when I'm lookin' at you The sun will rise and fade the stars And you're leaving me soon, like hell you are And you're leaving me soon, like hell you are La da da da La da da da I had a dream that you came to me shining down Through the clouds like a moonbeam There you were I had a dream that you came to me shining down Through the clouds like a moonbeam There you were (la da da da)

from the way out there wiki: Episode 425 Aired 3/18/21 In Episode 425, Tarbell has been snowed in since the previous episode due to Astral Storm Derek, and he shares the activities he has been up to to keep busy: cleaning his hats, eating tinned meats, tidying up, painting and embroidery. When the weather clears up, he takes the show outside, gathering wood for Lord Huron's campfire and gazing at the moon with his telescope. When he heads into the woods to collect more firewood, he encounters Mr. Owl and finds a mysterious clearing with a glowing pool of water and a statue of a harpist. He dozes off, and the statue is no longer present in the grove in the final shot. Songs "Never Ever" "Celestial Poem" (from Vide Noir) "The Balancer’s Eye" Fragment of "Moon Song" interrupted by a WBUB special weather alert "Dead Man’s Hand" "The Ghost On The Shore" "Way Out There" "Moonbeam" "The Night We Met"

After hearing Fool for Love on the radio I discovered Meet Me in the Woods which reflected my current anxiety from falling down a rabbit hole haunted by symbols of black and white, mirroring, spheres, and pyramids in the media and music industry and the idea that up was down, what was bad was acting good, and the good was bad. It took a lot of effort to get out of that depressing warped sense of reality, but somehow focusing on the rainbow sunlight makes while passing through a prism eased my mind. Soon after I noticed various songs, artists, and movies mentioning colors. Sometimes that anxiety comes back for a couple of moments so I kept my distance from some albums despite wondering if LH had anymore to say and by the looks this video, it looks like it. Sending you all good vibes, see you on 5/28.
