It's shocking all the hateful comments. Callum, you did a fine job. It takes guts to pipe and then hear rotten comments in a thread. Anyone else want to get up there and do a better job? If not, shut your pie hole and be proud to be a Fraser. Good or bad, it's a homage to our Frasers.

It is my great privilege to know some one ,who served alongside Lord Lovat on D- day. His name is James Clark. Who lives on the Isle of Skye. Mr Clark also knew Lord Lovat`s piper Bill Millin. Who piped the men of the landing craft. What a leader and what a brave piper.Road to the Isles and Highland Laddie were the pipe tunes, so i believe. Those men were Commandos. I think the tune is lovely. It was very fitting for it to be played by Bill Millin at his brave leaders funeral in March 1995. Bill Millin passed on in August 2010.

As a piper... I'm appalled at the tuning, playing, strike ... all of it. It's rubbish. Man should have spent less on his attire and more in piping lessons.

My great, great grandfather was David Fraser. His father was Thomas Fraser. His father's name was also David Fraser. I just learned of this info a few min ago. I looked up some more stuff which lead me to this song. I was adopted, and over the years have been trying to see where I came from. It's awesome to find out all this interesting stuff about my biological family.

Just FYI, Fraser of Lovat is a cadet branch of the other Fraser clan. This may muddy the waters a bit, but try to think of it as two separate families.

I’m guessing it was an affy cauld day. I hate playing on cold days. It feels like I’m playing with gloves on. You need some practice with the lemluath from D to low A.

Played by Calum Fraser, on a set of pipes given to him by his STEP FATHER Kim Fraser of Lovat, so not played by a Fraser of Lovat then

Bravo. I am Direct Decendent of Sir Simon Fraser He is my great grandfather x15. Directly through the male line through James Fraser (Frizzell) Son of Andrew Fraser 1st Lord Fraser. Who was exiled along with his brother William Frizzell (Master of Fraser) to America as political prisoners After Fighting against Oliver Cromwell. Once in America, They changed their surname from Fraser back to Frissell then Frizzell (The ancient and original form of Fraser) to protect the clan families back in Scotland while continueing the Clan Fraser line in America. We are the only direct line to 1st Lord Fraser Andrew in America

That was cringe-worthy. Please remove your comment, for those of us who have low embarrassment thresholds.

@@Page-Hendryx Please elaborate, I have no idea if you are speaking of the piper or the immigrant but what makes it so cringe-worthy?

Hello Sarah, this is perfect for a tri-service project I'm helping with for Remembrance Day in Preston - would you mind if I used it? It is the North West Festival of Remembrance.

Well done! Good thing about that tune is that one can play it slow as a lament or fast as a quick march!

Honestly, why even upload this?!? It is so terribly played and such a poor representation of piping and any associated history. These kind of uploads just perpetuate the layman’s understanding, and underappreciation of Piping.
