Yes, the specific error seen here is "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" leading to "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED". This means that some instruction the game sent to the graphics card made the card lock up and hang for a really long time, so Windows took the graphics card away from the game and told it to try again. One note though, the file name and line number just tell the devs where in their code the bad instruction happened. It doesn't mean that the code files are corrupt.

Think of it like trying to fix a store-bought cake, and all you know is that the baker screwed up on step 168. This information will not be very helpful to you without access to the recipe.

Honestly, some of those gollum-sona designs were genuinely really cool, especially the sort of "aquatic" design of that first one. Props to the folks who drew them, you somehow managed to take a creature as irreparably repugnant as gollum and actually make something pretty nice out of it.

The best part about the Tribes of Midgard thing is that game was made and published by completely different studios. Best guess of how that happened: the devs gutted Tribes to use its engine but forgot to alter the identifying data. It's like stealing a car without filing the serial numbers; doesn't matter how much you change the rest of it, it's still identifiable.

Don't blame the playtesters, if it's in that state it means that the QA team reported the bugs and they were deemed "non-critical", some programmer and/or exec up the chain decided it didn't need fixing or they didn't want to delay it to find and fix it, and QA is the one getting ripped a new one for the incompetence of either the devs or the bigwigs.

so in chapter 7 level 3 ( 13:06 ) the swim in air was something in the IL because another member of the speedrun community found it lol. it doesnt save much time for a full game run, but i think it saves about 2-3 seconds over just climbing to the top. its cause by a small piece of water extending past the waterfall a bit im pretty sure, its visually there so im assuming its the reason.
