The last part of the journey in Mordor is WRONG-Frodo and Sam proceeded straight north from Cirith Ungol inside the trough formed by the Ephel Duath on the west and the Morgai on the east, following the upstream course of a small waterway that flowed at the bottom of this trough all the way to it's source, at which point they caught the road heading down from Durthang towards the Isenmouthe, along which they were overtaken by a regiment of orcs and mistaken for orcs themselves, breaking away from this regiment just outside the Isenmouthe, and the proceeding east for several miles, paralleling the road leading towards the Dark Tower, finally travelling on this road for a distance until they were directly north of Mt. Doom, at which point they undertook the crossing of Gorgoroth towards the mountain, climbing the mountain face for a short distance before catching Sauron's Road and following that right up to the doorway of the Sammath Naur. And with a little help from Gollum, the Ring was destroyed.

Frodo actually starts his journey by going _west_ out of Hobbiton, before turning south, then south-east, before heading due east. The book doesn't explain why: Frodo's excuse for leaving was that he was going to Buckland, which is in any case to the east of Hobbiton. It is also strange that Frodo should choose this round-about route, since Pippin - who was not privy to Frodo's plans - went with him. And since Pippin thought they were headed for Buckland *(or so he had Frodo believe),* it is odd that Pippin never questioned the route - or that Frodo never wondered why Pippin didn't question it.

Here are the following missing points : ● Frodo gets in the woods over the Great East Road (bedore Rivendell) ●Frodo gets to the Redhorn gate before turning back and going to Moria ● There are some confusion in Lorien as Frodo gets in the capital which is not far in the Forest from the harbours. ●Frodo gets is forced to get in a Mordor troup whilst he is clad in Orcish armours, and he gets practically to Udun which is south if the Black gate. Then he goes south-south-eastward to Mount Doom. ● Then he is bought to the Cormallen fields (on the Anduin shore in Ithilien) ●Then he gets to Minas Tirith

Yeah, heh now we need the path of Bilbo and Thorin's company on the quest of Erebor and also paths of other members of Fellowship :). Or even a vague outline of the path of the Grey Company (including sons of Elrond :)), it's a shame that we know so little about journeys of Gandalf and Aragorn...hmm what about journey of Gollum after events of The Hobbit? We learn that he left the mountains and explored quite a bit we know locations and general directions he went until he found his way to Mordor and from there back (then brief interlude of being captured by Aragorn and also we know roughly the brief description of the path Aragorn made with his prisoner, and from there also we know in general way that Gollum found his way into Moria when Fellowship was passing through :), now that would be nice interactive visual for the journeys hehe, what do you think?
