Hes not really that strong a fighter, a little above avearge in terms of power, he just doeset fucking die, i had with rakarth sent 2 masters and rakarth himself to fight gor rok, and the dude took so long to kill that by the time the battle was over and done with, all 3 of them were still juking it out because they couldn't damage gor rok, or just dealt too little damage to make a dent in the albino bastard. I love Gor'rok so much.

Apparently it's a reference to the game director for Total War, Ian Rocksburgh. I guess his catchphrase when asked for feedback from a dev is "It's RUBBISH!" in a joking manner. Hence they snuck this guy in to buff the trash buildings. Also there's a story about him eating a sea cucumber at a restaurant on a dare from his coworkers.

Worth adding that clan Pestilens has a unique undercity building that causes permanent plague on settlements above it. Can be worth having an ally faction, like the other skaven faction you start near, that you leave alive to have permanent plagues flowing from their cities to yours.

That is exactly what I did on my skrolk campaign. Those skaven declared war on me, I kicked their ass and established undercities until they wanted peace and then I kept them safe and happy.

I love Skrolk's plagues bolster his settlements and armies so much! Especially reme,bering how frustrating seeing plagues spread back into your lands is! Definitely had for me as one of my top factions and Legendary lords leading up to Nurgle in Warhammer Three: Total war.

If that save character cheese isn't enough, there's actually quite a bit of other save character cheeses in particular for dark elves: You can load in black arks at will. It will start default, but you can also just load in the Blessed Dread, and get their landmark.

They fixed Name of Power disband 'cheese', but you also might be still able to load earlier saved, higher level Delf Lords with multiple Names of Power on them. Would need to test it though, just a tip atm. As for saving, I love it. You can save LL traits on characters, have them pop up in other campaigns far away from these Lords. I also like to roleplay a little with the generic Lords, so I love seeing one I grew attached to pop up in another campaign, too.

@@diogovieira5563 Think of it as "Newgame+" roleplay mode. Play a campaign on a lower difficulty, built up your Lords&Heroes, then come back at a higher difficulty or different LL faction of the same race and continue with the same characters.

Last time legend did the vampire free hero doomstack and I learned about you can save some special heroes with their traits, I immediately thought of this and tried it out, it really stacks up overtime but it’s very frustrating to do, so I stopped after loading like 5 of them. This lord was also in wh2 with the exact same trait, you just can’t get infinite numbers of it.

I played Skrolk before CA made food actually fun and I still had a blast. I put him next to Kemmler and Ghorst on my personal list of favorite underrated lords. They all look so weak compared to the more popular lords in their race but those "stronger" lords never make me cackle like a fucking movie villain as I play.

I was able to kill Gor Rok and his faction on Legendary using a plague monk army. Completed the province, and just wrecked the invasions from the dwarfs, southern sentinels, and Itza for a while for super fast level ups and then as soon as I had plague monks went in and wiped out Itza. It was a bit messy but works.

Love Skrolk. One really fun thing to do is leave Itza, go south but then build an under city in Itza. Build it up and put their unique plague producing building there with all the anti-reveal. It will just flood all of lustria with endless plagues, crippling everyone. Skaven plagues are the most OP because on an army it gives causalities for 5 turns no matter what you do.

I found the starting enemy was kinda hard. Not the first fight but after that they have a 2nd army and it has a think a bunch of Dinos and you really aren't prepared for it on like turn 3. I had to colonize the building at tier 3 and built ratling guns or something like that to win but at that point like 4 other people declared war on me and it wasn't looking too good.

Definitely There was this one time, when eshin assassins were sent after him in the lore and they couldn't even get near him. They all died soon after approaching him, except of a cautious assassin who stayed further away from skrolk.

PLEASE SOMEONE. Anyone else experiencing a game breaking crash at around minute 2 in siege battles? game freezes but I can still move the camera around, and like 5 seconds later it crashes. I can´t fight battles that I can win in manual but not in auto

What I loved to do with Skrolk was to build an undercity under the lizardmen in the wood elf forest with the infinite plague building, it kept Itza permanently plagued and that faction is passive and won't recruit heroes to detect the undercity...

Maybe I've been unlucky, but I don't think the sneak-and-capture-plaza strategy works anymore? The AI was changed in 3.0 so that it camps all of the capture points in a city now, including the back point. Every siege I've done in 3.0 saw many units camping the back point, and they would only move up when I started moving into the city and capping points. Which might be difficult with clanrats and slaveslingers.

So.. I haven't played this campaign out in Warhammer 3 to be fair, but I really don't remember Gor Rok being such a hurdle that I needed some 10 step heist plan to take him out. I can't remember exactly how things play out to get you there, or maybe they're just nerfed too hell in Warhammer 3, Idk, but my plan basically just boiled down too invest into a lot of menace bellows for the fight, bring a handful of trashy melee guys, and as many catapults as you could afford. Plague claws just crush melee infantry, and firing off 8 units of them at a sauras warrior blob just turned them into paste. Gor rok himself can be as strong as he wants, he isn't Unbreakable from the start so if his army falls, he falls. Not trying to say Legends approach isn't valid, I just feel it might be a little convoluted when Skrolk has a pretty direct counter to Lizardmen infantry available really quickly through boosting cities with food.

I've done his campaign 3 times in ttw3. My biggest complaint is the factions mechanics are extremely lack luster, that and the nearest nurgle faction should be more likely to be your allies rather than getting wiped out by turn 4. I had one run go somewhat successful where i got some nurgle allies, but it took so much effort. I would love for him to get the plague cauldron or something similar.

This doesn't seem to work for me, being able to reach Quetza on turn 2 is very inconsistent, sometimes I am JUST short on movement. and Gor-Rok always moves back to itza over the end turn and starts recruiting. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or what

Another reason to why not to go down south is that the other two legendary lizard lords down south WILL declare war on you and that is about the same time that dark elf creeps up on you and wants blood. And hey... the elf wont like u either. Its just not a good idea... Once u have suffered through these wars u have a big big Lizardmen up north that u choose to ignore in the first place... U can use the skaven next to u to be a buffer for the lizards and the elf...

You can only load in one characters per campaign from where you exported him from (since they get unique IDs) IIRC. So if you want 100 Lynn Rocksburrows, you have to start 100 Skrol campaigns, recruit the character and export it jus as many times. So you'd have to get pretty determined to get to near infinite money glitch territory. That said spending 5500 gold to recruit 10 of those would make a scrap heap output between ~700 gold instead of 160, which is a pretty impactful boost.
