@@meb212 it’s been only after pro series stuff as far as I’m aware. Actual manufactures never used sealed breeches before DZ pro, so barrel length does nothing but reduce performance for any on shelf blaster except pro stuff

The company that made the Ceda and Game Face Prime leaked a bunch of blasters a few years ago and one of them was a hammer prime blaster. Most likely will hit Rival or AF Pro fps. No idea what happened to those blasters though.

@@hushu1414 not really that controversial since Rival and regular DZ blasters like the Spectrum are still very popular despite being 90 to 100 fps, and HvZ events are limited to around 120 fps or less. (Pro blasters are usually like 130+)

A big drawback is the barrel not holding the darts in. Like during your chrono tests. But everything else is amazing to see in an off the shelf blaster.

After you added the barrel attachment and drew it from the holster, a dart fell out the cylinder before you started chronoing.

So stock games performance without the attachment, hvz levels with, probably great for 150FPS games as well. Including a holster is an innovation as well. Dart Zone understands how this game is played, they know this is a sidearm and needs a dedicated holster. Way to go!

I'd love if they could furnish a flywheel sidearm with a compact form factor with comparable performance to their springers. I saw Dart Zone/Adventure Force DOES have a flywheel-based primary, I'd just love my first brand new flywheeler to be a Pro series sidearm since I'm running out of storage space for my blasters, ammo, and accessories. Bonus points if it's half-dart exclusive, major bonus if it feeds through the grip or even in a similar factor to the Conquest Pro.

Other way around. There is more performance with the barrel so you want to use the barrel in hvh games. With hvz you want to NOT us the barrel as to not hurt anyone.

Yeah, tightening up the cylinders to hold darts better SHOULD be a minimal design change (Especially given that priming pushes the dart into a breach/chamber), maybe even as simple as adding a little bit more plastic on the inside of the cylinders' individual chambers. I feel like this one's gonna be a good one if they can solve the loose cylinders at the very least.

There is not enough time to MK Air those kind of changes in an Inj Mould tool and still make the street date. This will launch with these issues. Just like every other Dart Zone pro series launch.

@@thehollowlingwin in my experience they don't work either, it's a barrel consistency thing; Workers aren't thick enough to make a difference of fit with how loose the barrels can be. Plus it's super dependent on temperature.

Looks great, especially with the barrel attachment. It also seems very handy since you effectively have two different fps ranges, one which is pretty close to stock, and then your superstock range! I am a bit worried about the whole "darts falling out" thing, and I'm not a huge fan of the safety, like Drac mentioned.

I can easily see a safety delete and maybe even a 3D printed "stopper" for that gap to prevent even loose darts from coming out that side.

3d printed cylinders with brass or PETG inserts would fix that completely though. By the time this thing hits shelves or shortly after I'm sure someone will have files available.

Though some mods have tried to use turrets with seals going into a barrel, these systems have always been finicky. Some people might complain about this being effectively 5+1 due to the pusher, but this solution avoids a lot of the headaches. There's a good difference in absolute reliability between getting a proper seal between the cylinder and the plunger tube plus the cylinder and the barrel versus just the pusher to the barrel.

barrel-on chrony, you lost 2 darts to the ground upon pulling the spare cylinder, not a priming issue. They visibly came out, due to the loose cylinder/dart fit.

A heavier spring may not add any FPS while destabilizing the shots because you won't get enough impulse out of it. All the extra force will just blow the air out the sides behind the dart.

Thanks for the review. This seemed pretty cool initially but overall, seems really cumbersome and unintuitive to use. The extra priming necessary to shoot plus the slop that can rotate the barrell in half increments would really slow the whole play down, combined with the fiddly reload, too many dealer breakers to be worth the $40 imo. I can't understand why the priming handle can't just slide forward on its own once the dart canisters are loaded.

I originally wanted to get the DZP Mark 2 and this but I'm starting to think it makes more sense to get this twice. I've heard stories of the Mark II breaking & part of me is concerned, also I think this might be advanced than the Mark II internally. If I'm wrong please correct me. I'll share my experience, as I was very excited about this one. I tried it. The one I purchased would not reliably fire after the first shot. The chamber, cylinder, and pusher system were complete and utter garbage. I wanted to love this blaster, and tested it for several days, thinking I could fix it or break it in. Returned and got my money back. Thankfully the Dart Zone Outlaw is coming out soon at Target for $30. Avoid the Deuce though.
