Melodrama by Lorde… pure poetry, a masterpiece. Lorde was 16 when she released Pure Heroine and 20 when she released Melo…on hearing Pure Heroine David Bowie referred to Lorde as “the future of music”…

Taylor and Lorde have been friends for years !! they’re rlly supportive of eachother’s music and i think they’re both so true to themselves in their writing that there’s a lot of admiration there between them. need more lorde reactions pleaseeeee !!!!

Great review & it was great to see how much you loved Lorde's music. She truly has that effect on people. The song is very much about Lorde's life in NZ. The line ' growing out of music you listened to at 16' is very much a reference to her own songs - Pure Heroine - she wrote at 16. She is growing up from that phase and has moved through the Melodrama era to the present Solar Power. Her reference to being 'Stoned' is not stoned in the literal sense but more a feeling of disassociating with her present surrounding of being at the Nail Salon and pondering her life. Thanks again for your infectious take of her songs. You should try a review on Pure Heroine and Melodrama to reveal the true genius that is Lorde.

Her first album Heroine she produced at the age of 15 and Melodrama 19 and both albums are very hard you wouldnt recognize her voice the production is wow. Cause all the music you love at 16 you grow out of maybe was directed to her albums. You should check out her Melodrama it s on a way different level and so Is her Heroine extended album. If you haven't heard them you should check it out

Glory and Gore. Buzz cut Season Team . Bravado. The Love club. Royals. White teeth teens from Heroine Albums talks about her in NZ with her friends school and the journey of her experiencing life in Hollywood. Melodrama talks about her Tragic relationship and parties in US how it affected her emotionally. Both albums are cohesive tells a story.. Love all the songs on Melodrama.

also !! 13:20 the only way i describe music like this is saying it’s an Experience. like from the first second to the silence at the end it just takes a hold of every part of my brain and all my sense lol, and i’m just experiencing this music now. and it can be pretty disorienting when it ends and ur like What just happened, pulls u out of the moment and this kinda world that the artist has made in just a few a minutes. it’s pure talent tbh, and her vocals can kinda put u in a trance ngl they’re just so soothign
