Hey Lorde fans! I have just released my selfmade debut album CRASTI LAND a few weeks ago. I am a big Lorde fan myself, her minimal electronic music (especially during her first years) really inspired me and a couple of songs on the album, so I thought I'd share the news with other fans. I am struggling to reach listeners despite the hard work so, kindly and respectfully, I would appreciate every listen & review! Have a powerful day!

You guys really think she's just made that sort of a video for no god damn reason? Seriously? The song is about how the lives of people who are being watched is really like aka celebrities. That's why it's a dark background, in reality, she's in a dark place surrounded with void. It's just her with lights flicking on and off frequently ( similar to the limelight ). She only says yeah throughout the video to highlight how people are almost slaves to putting up an act, going with the flow and not having a voice really. They're constantly under the scrutiny of the media. That's the reason why she says "and you can watch from your window" or "I'll be the beauty queen in tears"

Justin Woodall One of my favourite albums is "Two" by Soft Machine. But only the majors can advertise and capture the sound that makes 200.000.000 2014ish people play that song and spread it. I love this video. It has so much meaning, so powerful, that many of you don't see. The point of this video is to understand the lyrics, and fall in love with the song, no matter how weird the video is. Behind these videos show that too many people like songs based on the music video. You all need to open up and understand that a song is a song, meant for ears, not for your eyes. ♡

Let me explain something .. A Video is just as important as the song .. It is often the video that creates the connection between the individual and the music .. It helps them relate ... and its being able to relate in some way that creates euphoria in the human mind which catches the attention , or creates the enjoyment you get from listening to a song .. not as many people are going to connect with this song just because the video is really lacking .. This is a new age , run by media .. Visual/audio are to go together and this doesnt .. Its terrible .. it actually shows a lack of creativity on her part or whoever is responsible for the production of this video ..

The reason why Lorde is so much better than any other pop artist is because her lyrics mean so much more and are so much more relatable, they're not just about breakups they're about teenage desire, and real love, not meeting at a movie premiere, her lyrics are so much more poetic and meaningful than any other artist and that is the problem with pop today: the lyrics are in principle exactly the same and so replicable

Robbie Coombes *Not really. Maybe with most popstars. But Lady Gaga for example: her lyrics are so profound and deep and so artistic and metaphoric. They're like poems so hard to understand and so weird, just like the titles and concepts she creates. That's one of the reasons Lorde loves Gaga.*
@mikeyc0800ify7 жыл бұрын
Robbie Coombes She is just more lyrically mature, and most importantly, more emotionally geniune than other artists her age. As much as I love Melodrama for its storyline about the realest emotions of a teen's party lifestyle, I still think Pure Heroine is one of my favorite albums of the decade for its production alone, which is so minimalistic and well handled. Take a song like Royals; For sure, its overplayed, but it stands out so much for basically just being a drumbeat and a bassline, nothing more, not to mention it perfectly describes Lorde as someone HER age and not something larger than life. Just a kid who has a dream, but recognizes its probably out of her reach, but also is happy where her and her friends are anyway. I could go on for hours, but really, Lorde is just a truly great artist.

Its kinda sad. Lorde is really talented and she has achieved so much at such a young age. She writes what she knows, which considering her young age, many would expect to result in the fluffy, mass-produced bubblegum-pop we find blaring through our radios so often. But Lorde doesn’t do that. While the electropop influence is evident in the sound and the beats and melodies can get stuck in your head easily, Lorde’s deep and unique voice and the poetic and thoughtful lyrics set her apart as an intelligent and talented artist. Love you Lorde!

I'm 49 now, so im guessing when this gem came out, i was in my mid 40's give or take. Lorde is beyond brilliant in my book. Brilliant! If i recall correctly, she was i believe 17 on this track, unfrickinbelievable! I'd say that's the age when one feels like they know everything, and life is grand. Her music takes me back to those grand times. I'm gonna have see what else she's done lately, because she's still very young woman now from a recent article i read where it said she's 27 now. I recall in the past reading about her probably in Rolling Stone magazine, and I was very impressed at how smart she is. I'm sure her emotional i.q. is off the charts. I'm an old timer fan of hers. Keep on Rockin Lorde! 🤓

Let me explain this clip for those who do not understand the interesting message that he wants to spend ... Making a reference to the hairstyle of the French youth of the period of the French Revolution, she cites the tennis court of the agreement, when commoners took court of France and managed to destabilize the current monarchy in the period. Every movement expresses a different feeling, all melancholy as usual. The flashing lights represent the Enlightenment philosophy at the time of the Revolution, in contrast to the darkness of the setting and the character's clothes. The black lens shows a girl whose soul can not be interpreted by the look, we have to unravel that abstraction every flash of light while she gives a striking battle cry: 'yeah'. All this combined with a youthful letter, inviting those who listen to that sound to think, to stand up and do everything different from what has already been established. Tennis Court sheds light on ancient ideals and cry about a new way of making art, a clear art, which everyone can understand and, above all, a minimalist and cultured art. Noteworthy are the movements that represent: boredom to set, awakening of new ideals, loneliness, mockery, anger and boredom ...
