Very true... my hairline have been receding since my mid 20´s and only about a month ago i gathered my courage and trimmed everything down to 1mm, not because i want to but it is just starting to look too thin in the front... I would love to try one of these hairsystems to be able to have a hairstyle again... i hate having thinning hair but i can´t afford a transplant and rarely the outcome is anything what one hope. Perhaps i will be able to try one of these some day..

Dude.. this doesn't look fake at all.. a lot of people hate on men for weaing hair pieces to cover their balking, but women do this all the time to not only their hair with entire wigs even, but with make up covering their faces or making features look different than what they really look like and it's accepted as normall.. Weird that women are critics when men try to cover up their balding.

We did order the NEO model. It is fabulous. It was easy to cut the excess lace off the front, making the front and temple hairlines absolutely invisible. The density is a perfect "One size fits all because it is NOT a heavy density piece at all. Once it is washed and cream rinsed (conditioned) it blow dries quickly. And, the density is only light to light medium which made the use of a thinning shears very easy. Thinning this piece out for a "cut in" was easy and the hair indeed lays along the head as real hair would. Bravo to Lord Hair. :)

How often do you find you need to reglue the hairline? And how often do you redo the adhesive tape and start from scratch on the install? Thank you for your help!
@Lordhair2 жыл бұрын
Glad you like the video, Cory! We could only speak in general terms because each individual will be different but someone might reglue their hairline every few days (depending how much they sweat/how active they've been) and then do a full reinstall once a week. As for lifespan, that really depends on the hair system (and the wearer) as hair systems are designed in different ways but you're typically looking at a few months.

Great video ! One question … doesn’t the glue get smelly when you sweat ? If yeas, how long does it take to start getting smelly ?
@Lordhair Жыл бұрын
Hi Luiz - it's not so much the glue as the scalp that will get sweaty/smelly over time. That's why it's important to pay attention to the health and state of your scalp and why people will remove and reattach their hair system every week or so (despite glue or tape being able to last longer than that). There's no way for us to say how long it would take your scalp to start to smell as that would depend on many factors such as your own body chemistry, how much you sweat, the climate you live in etc. However, with a regular removal and reattachment process, you shouldn't find smell an issue.

@Lordhair2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for answering on our behalf and tanks for the personal insight but yes, you can wear hair systems 24/7 and do the kind of activities mentioned here. You can take your hair system off whenever you want but typically, that might be after a week or so when you want to do a clean-up or when there are signs of lift (at the front) from sweat/rigorous exercise.

Looks great. What’s the difference between a hair system and a toupee?
@Lordhair3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dianne! Good question! Hair system is a relatively new word coined by the hair industry as a way of differentiating this hair loss solution from the traditional toupee/wig that are often cheap, heavy-looking, made with synthetic hair and designed to be worn on top of your own hair. Hair systems blend in with your own hair, use human hair and are semi-permanent in nature as you can see in this video. Since wig/toupee are much more well-known by the general population, you will still see them used in reference to what we know as hair systems. We actually wrote a short blog about the different terms which you might find useful: www.lordhair.com/blog/difference-between-hair-systems-wigs-toupees/.
@alleborges48902 жыл бұрын
depends who is asking - some say there the same others say a hair system stays on for weeks, toupee usually taken off nightly
@willschwarting222410 ай бұрын
How long can you leave these on for? Or is this a daily thing you have to do?
@Lordhair10 ай бұрын
Weeks at a time actually. Hair system tape or glue can keep its hold for over a month but the reality is that most wearers will remove and reattach their hair system every week/every two weeks. It comes down to what works best for them/how the tape or glue is holding up.

@Lordhair2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's perfectly possible. A lot of it depends on the wearer and how they look after their hair system but then it also depends on the type of hair system. Some are designed in a way that will make them last longer.

My question is, how long does it stay on your head? I’m looking to get a decent wig but I’ve been bald for years and I sweat profusely when it’s hot outside, mainly my head. Is this something I have to worry about falling off randomly or?
@Lordhair9 ай бұрын
There's actually no definitive answer to this as it all depends on the type of tape/glue the wearer uses and how their own body chemistry/climate/lifestyle affects the hold. In theory, hair system tape/glue can hold your hair system in place for four weeks (check with the manufacturer/what the product description says). Sweat isn't going to make your hair system fall off but it likely means you would have to reattach your hair system more frequently than someone who doesn't sweat as much. You might do a full reattachment like what you see in this video once a week but you will discover what works best for you.

@Lordhair Жыл бұрын
Hi Billy - it all depends on the individual i.e. but you might do a full reattachment like this every week.

Hey I'm from the UK and want to do this myself where do or can I actually buy the hair system and how do I know if I have the right one?
@Lordhair9 ай бұрын
Hi Tanae - this is the Lordhair channel so this is one of our hair systems. There are links in the video description but this is our site: www.lordhair.com/. You will see that we ship to the UK and that we have tutorial pages on our site and videos like this on our KZbin channel to help you become independent enough to attach your hair system at home, for example. We will also assign a member of our customer service team to you so they can help you with all your questions.

I’m being proactive because I know it’s only a matter of time, and this system looks awesome. My questions are 1) How long do they last? Honestly like what 6 months? And how often do you remove and reapply glue and tape?
@Lordhair3 жыл бұрын
It's good to be prepared, Joe! We can't give you a specific answer about lifespan because the bases of hair systems are made with different materials and the hair is attached in different ways. Six months is possible with some models (with the right habits and care) but others may only last one to two months. That said, the more experienced you become, the longer you will be able to make your hair system last. How often you remove/reapply glue and tape is down to the individual but with the right adhesive your hair system could stay in place for up to a month but it's likely your lifestyle i.e. exercising/sweating would dictate otherwise. You'll also find that many people prefer to remove and reapply their hair systems on a weekly basis or least the front section. Hope this helps for now!

I think it's really bad for your skin to keep it for that long and washing it while it's on your head would trap moisture no matter what you do after....

Hey there. I got my system in March this year and am still wearing it. New one has been ordered though. I reattach it every 10 days or thereabouts. I like to give my head a day breather between reattachment, but it isn’t necessary.

Look I don't work or get paid by anyone - How long will it last, if you get an average good stock unit, first 2 years you will use 6 to 8, by the third year, you should know how to take care of it, how do you learn it's easy, but most people aren't willing to follow on you tube guys like this guy right here and learn simple little things, that make wearing almost natural. instead, everyone I know starts tearing up there first 2 years thinking it the hair units it's not, my units last at least 5 or 6 months and still look great. subscribe to a few hair wearers who make videos and dump the dumb ones, My Hairline looks pretty good. I only change my hairline every three weeks. How I learned right here on KZbin. and my hair always smells and looks clean because it is. I am sure if you ask this young man anything he knows or he will get back to you quick. rinse your unit every time you bathe, gently brush it while rinsing, only use shampoo 1 time a week. remember in the video he mentioned he uses leave in conditioner. If you're going to live life to the fullest and be in the sun, spear fishing, swimming, you better use leave in conditioner, remember this hair doesn't grow, so you need to just put in leave conditioner, and it makes your hair silky smooth. and keeps it from drying out in 2 or 3 months. You don't even have to buy it. My wife uses very expensive conditioner, I pour 40 to 50 percent in pump bottle and 50 percent bottled water. Every time I rinse my unit, I use conditioner. two pumps that's all. the unit I am wearing is around 4 months old, and it feels the same as it did the first month, soft and manageable, I can comb it back, I can part it on the side, Conditioner helps me change how I comb it. as for how long you wear it most people take off their units around 15 times a year, and the front lace some guys 3 times a week, others 3 times a month- depends on what you use for your front lace, glue, or tapes. Good Luck Flatts Gonzales

is this something I would have to do every day? or say once a week? maybe longer?
@Lordhair2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brandon - you would likely do this once every week or two or perhaps even less frequently. It really depends on the wearer but it's also down to the glue/tape they use as well as their lifestyle and body chemistry.
