This is Andrew’s step-by-step guide to attaching his hair system. He will also show what he does to style his hair. Visit our website to learn more about Andrew’s hair system of choice: www.lordhair.com/neo-mens-hai...
Andrew’s experience and background in hair and hairdressing are evident during this hair system tutorial. He has lots of tips and pieces of advice to share including what hair products he uses to give himself that great final look. He also addresses whether you should use tape or glue to attach your hair system. We reckon this is one of the best hair system application and styling tutorials on our KZbin channel - thanks Andrew!
1️⃣ Cut the tape (www.lordhair.com/no-shine-bon...) into smaller pieces and stick them to the thin skin section of the base 00:16
2️⃣ Peel back the other side of the tape 01:21
3️⃣ Attach the hair system to your scalp (front section first) 01:56
4️⃣ Spray the hair with water and apply some leave-in conditioner to help style and soften the hair 03:13
5️⃣ Comb the hair 03:44
6️⃣ Blow-dry the hair 04:22
7️⃣ Apply glue to the front of the head 05:12
8️⃣ Glue down the front of the hair system 07:21
9️⃣ Use solvent remover across the front hairline to release any hair that has been glued down 09:16
🔟 Add moisturizer to the hair 10:44
Andrew is wearing the Lordhair Neo hair replacement system. Its freestyle hair direction allows him to style his hair system as he wishes. The base of our Neo hair system combines a French lace top and front with a thin skin perimeter. It is a very natural and lightweight hair system. The Neo also has an A front contour which gives you a more recessed and perhaps more age-appropriate front hairline than our other stock models. For more information about our Neo stock hair replacement system you can check it out on our website:
www.lordhair.com/neo-mens-hai....
For a limited time only, we are also offering a selection of stock hair systems from prices as low as just $145! Be sure to check them out: www.lordhair.com/mens-hair-sy...
We’re sure people have their own way of styling and attaching their hair wig but this is what works for Andrew. You can’t deny the final result but please feel free to share how you attach your hair system below.
Please also feel free to email us at support@lordhair.com with your questions about how to wear a hair system and our customer service will be happy to assist you. Alternatively, you can use the live chat feature on our website.

Dude.. this doesn't look fake at all.. a lot of people hate on men for weaing hair pieces to cover their balking, but women do this all the time to not only their hair with entire wigs even, but with make up covering their faces or making features look different than what they really look like and it's accepted as normall.. Weird that women are critics when men try to cover up their balding.

Exactly. I'm getting mine on Tuesday and am SO excited! My mother and sister say it's pointless but there are two questions I asked to shut them up: 1) if I told you makeup was pointless, would it stop you from wearing it? 2) if you went bald tomorrow, would you not buy a wig?

If a man likes wearing a hair system to feel his age, he shouldn’t care about what other people say. It’s his choice. Women literally do a bazillion tricks to look different and have multiple enhancements. Balding isn’t in our hands. We can’t control it.

Very true... my hairline have been receding since my mid 20´s and only about a month ago i gathered my courage and trimmed everything down to 1mm, not because i want to but it is just starting to look too thin in the front... I would love to try one of these hairsystems to be able to have a hairstyle again... i hate having thinning hair but i can´t afford a transplant and rarely the outcome is anything what one hope. Perhaps i will be able to try one of these some day..

We did order the NEO model. It is fabulous. It was easy to cut the excess lace off the front, making the front and temple hairlines absolutely invisible. The density is a perfect "One size fits all because it is NOT a heavy density piece at all. Once it is washed and cream rinsed (conditioned) it blow dries quickly. And, the density is only light to light medium which made the use of a thinning shears very easy. Thinning this piece out for a "cut in" was easy and the hair indeed lays along the head as real hair would. Bravo to Lord Hair. :)

How often do you find you need to reglue the hairline? And how often do you redo the adhesive tape and start from scratch on the install? Finally, is there a certain amount of time you'd expect the hair piece is able to be completely removed and reinstalled before you'd need to purchase another? Fantastic video. Thank you for your help!
@Lordhair
@Lordhair Жыл бұрын
Glad you like the video, Cory! We could only speak in general terms because each individual will be different but someone might reglue their hairline every few days (depending how much they sweat/how active they've been) and then do a full reinstall once a week. As for lifespan, that really depends on the hair system (and the wearer) as hair systems are designed in different ways but you're typically looking at a few months.

Okay where do I start- you taught anyone who was paying attention so much in 10 minutes it's hard to believe. Like the gaps between the tapes for draining and breathing I learned that 10 years ago, but nobody ever talks about it, your hair doesn't look awesome, it looks real. Instead of trying to look like a 35 yr. old Elvis. You did the correct thing you made the best version of you. and I don't use Glue any longer, I always get headaches when I use Glue, don't be like my wife and say it's all in my head lol duh. I agree with everything you do down to the glue. I used to use it, same glue. Now I use euro tape 360 degrees and don't have to change my hairline sometimes for 3 weeks. I know what you're thinking because your very smart. your thinking euro tape is too thick. It is until you use the teeth of a comb to press the lace down into it. Just sharing- you have one of the best videos I have ever seen- natural teacher. man, If I didn't get headaches, you make me want to go back to ghost glue. I hope Lord is at least paying for your Hair because you make beginners feel at ease. I enjoyed your presentation. If I would add one thing to it is showing people the easy way, to judge where the hair line starts. Trust me it's four fingers above your nose. Hey, I want to thank you, I have been wearing hair 17 years. and the way you explain and keep your words easy to understand and your tone... perfect. Now don't get mad dress better you're a good-looking guy. Hell, you need to get your name out there, I'm not kidding you should own or be working directly selling hair in a nice place. peace out little brother, Flatts Gonzales.

Great video ! One question … doesn’t the glue get smelly when you sweat ? If yeas, how long does it take to start getting smelly ?
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 11 ай бұрын
Hi Luiz - it's not so much the glue as the scalp that will get sweaty/smelly over time. That's why it's important to pay attention to the health and state of your scalp and why people will remove and reattach their hair system every week or so (despite glue or tape being able to last longer than that). There's no way for us to say how long it would take your scalp to start to smell as that would depend on many factors such as your own body chemistry, how much you sweat, the climate you live in etc. However, with a regular removal and reattachment process, you shouldn't find smell an issue.

@Lordhair
@Lordhair 3 жыл бұрын
Good question! There is plenty of content on KZbin (not just on our channel) so that could be a good starting point. Then, there is our website too. To help you decide on a hair system, first thinking about how you would like to wear your hair (exposing your front hairline or not, for example) and how long you'd like your hair system to last as the more natural a hair system (think of the base material and the way the hair is attached), the less durable it will be would be a good idea. Also, consider the climate you live in or how physically active you are (so, the breathability of the hair system). As for tape or glue, you may be best trying them both out and just seeing what works best for you. Please feel free to email us at support@lordhair.com and we'd be happy to help.

If your new and you don't know anyone who wears hair, I think you should start in a in a business that does hair replacement, depending on you, you learn and observe and you can take over, I did it for 2 years didn't miss a beat, then went back to a salon, always something new coming out and you can see someone else wearing it, or buy a unit like from lord and then go get a cut in, usually 175 to 250.

My question is, how long does it stay on your head? I’m looking to get a decent wig but I’ve been bald for years and I sweat profusely when it’s hot outside, mainly my head. Is this something I have to worry about falling off randomly or?
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 4 ай бұрын
There's actually no definitive answer to this as it all depends on the type of tape/glue the wearer uses and how their own body chemistry/climate/lifestyle affects the hold. In theory, hair system tape/glue can hold your hair system in place for four weeks (check with the manufacturer/what the product description says). Sweat isn't going to make your hair system fall off but it likely means you would have to reattach your hair system more frequently than someone who doesn't sweat as much. You might do a full reattachment like what you see in this video once a week but you will discover what works best for you.

Hi Crystal - we hope your brother loves having hair again! The hair system and tape are actually in the description. The glue Andrew uses is Ghost Bond and it's likely his solvent remover is C-22 Solvent by Walker Tape but we don't sell either of those two products.

Many people think that guys purchase these hair pieces because they are ashamed of being bald when that's not the case for a good majority. I've been bald for 5 years and I'm very comfortable in my skin. Still, I'd give this a try (why not?) I think most of the negative comments stem from societies outlook on gender stereotypes. It's 2021 people. If YOU are comfortable being bald that's great. However, if you're disturbed at the thought of men wearing hair systems then you should really ask yourself why. Just my .02.

Can I get something custom made just for my receding hairline and for lengthy hair?
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's possible, Justin. It sounds like you're describing a frontal hair system. You could customize either of these two stock frontals www.lordhair.com/mens-hair-systems/frontal-hair-pieces.html but since we're talking about a custom-made order, you could have any base design. It may be best if you email support@lordhair.com or use our live chat feature to discuss your options.

What about it’s Maintenace? How long it lasts to re-glue it, provided we take a shower every day. Thanks
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elie - that depends on your own body chemistry, your lifestyle, your environment and the type of glue so it's difficult to give a definite answer. How long people choose to wear their hair system before they do a full removal and reattachment is often down to the individual rather than the glue. They may do this every week, every two weeks or longer so the right glue for you will last several weeks at a time.

wow that does look quite natural, at least on video. Unfortunately the video resolution is too low to really determine if the seam can be spotted in reality upon closer inspection. Like what would you say is the average distance before someone can spot if they're looking directly at it.. thx.. I'm suffering from severe alopecia areata and am wondering if this will be the right solution for me. I don't think I can hide my spots much longer. :( it's devastating
@Lordhair

You'd have to be pretty close with this particular hair system to possibly notice anything and that's only if you styled your hair in a way that exposed the front hairline. We're sorry to hear about your alopecia but please just reach out to us and we'll help you see if a hair system could be an option for you: www.lordhair.com/contacts.

Hi Tanae - this is the Lordhair channel so this is one of our hair systems. There are links in the video description but this is our site: www.lordhair.com/. You will see that we ship to the UK and that we have tutorial pages on our site and videos like this on our KZbin channel to help you become independent enough to attach your hair system at home, for example. We will also assign a member of our customer service team to you so they can help you with all your questions.

This is impressive. I'm guessing if you won't be meeting people for a few days after it's time to wash and reapply the system. It might help your skin to have a few days off to breathe. Just rock the Prince Charles horseshoe to let some air around your scalp for a day or two. The system looks great
@christaylor9480
@christaylor9480 Жыл бұрын
You really don't have to air it out that long. Just take it off, wash your head really well and you can either sleep with it off or just give it a few hours and reapply. Wore one for awhile and I loved it but I didn't have very much money at the time so I ended up shaving it. I'm just not considering getting one again 8 years later lol

Hi Antoine - this is our Neo model www.lordhair.com/neo-mens-hair-replacement-system.html and you'll see that it has a poly around the back and sides and across the front so this is what Andrew puts tape on.

@@Lordhair I looked at the website and saw a thin skin unit called, " ThinSkin-VP". In looking at the various photos of the unit on your website, I have only one other question. And that is, although photos can be misleading through no one's fault, I would like to know if the "Think Skin-VP" is V- looped AND is the hair as soft / baby fine and multi directional as Andrew's unit appears to be ? All "political correctness" aside, that fact that it is "Indian hair" is not an issue. What matters is that it is not "coarse", but rather VERY smooth / baby fine, which is genetically consistent for caucasians, etc. Thank you. :) Antoine.
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 2 жыл бұрын
@@globalonemusic2381 Hi Antoine - happy to help! The hair is V-looped all over, yes, and the hair type is the same as what you see in this video. Indian hair is often the default choice for Caucasians and works well across different ethnicities. However, if hair type is very important to you then you might want to think about a custom order and choosing Remy or European hair.

Hi Brandon - you would likely do this once every week or two or perhaps even less frequently. It really depends on the wearer but it's also down to the glue/tape they use as well as their lifestyle and body chemistry.
