That's not a thing in pre-renewal, even in renewal it does take some time of having a tab whit the elemental table open but it's worth in the long run, not only do you save time but killing things faster means you waste less SP and consumables.

You should learn how to take advantage of the elements since the damage boost is significant. Wind > earth > fire > water > wind Fire < undead Holy < shadow and undead Shadow < holy At least learn it when you play mages and or about to use element converters

In the early days, Rogues were very overpowered with their back stab skill, which can be spammed, and since it never misses, there was no need to raise dex. As a result, you have characters that loaded up with str and agi and just blowing through the toughest monsters in seconds, no one had time to bother with copying skills. Now, back stab is still quite strong, but a lot less useful since the monster turn towards you after the attack, requiring you to get behind it to start it again, and unless you're quick with the mouse you might find it quite hard to pull it off.

Repetitive quest are so dumb for me in Ragnarok. I mean why not just increase the EXP of the monsters and player choose where to level up and maybe once in a while change places instead of the same dumb monsters over and over This being said, amazing video!

Hey Necri! Absolutely loving your guides. They're super easy to understand and watch, and they apply to a lot of other servers as well. The only issue I'm running into is that, while it's a no cards build, I noticed you swapped to what I assume to be a blacksmith to make/upgrade the Damascus at 3:50. As a new player to RO, I'm not sure what class/job would be the best to make, or if there's any guides for new players that don't have a couple different classes already made. Do you have any recommendations, or would you be willing to make a guide for folks who are just starting out? I skimmed through all of your guides on your channel but didn't see any that mentioned beginners or just starting out. Even just something along the lines of a few good classes to start out with, or a few generic items/classes you should set up to use for future leveling

You can start with really anything, but hunter is very easy and fun.

The first class for any newcomer has to be a merchant, you don't necessarily have to play all the way through the second class, just get enough skill points to max discount and overcharge (and maybe enlarge weight limit too for some extra carrying capacity) This will be your bank character, any loot you pick up should be sold by the merchant to NPC for 24% more zeny. Likewise, buying consumable will cost 24% less, basic "buy low, sell high" mentality. You'll have a decent amount of starter money in no time. As for your actual main, archer and mage are ideal. Both class require very little start up equipment, especially mage since they use raw magic powers for damage. Obviously, archer attacks at range, allowing you to fight some monsters way above your current level (especially if they have slow movement speed), as long as your footwork is good you can level up real fast. Double Strafe is a quick and strong skill, also very spammable. Elemental arrows should be readily accessible, either bought or crafted, far more convenient than sourcing the materials to craft an elemental weapon. What makes Archer so versatile is their damage source comes from dex instead of str, and since dex is also responsible for hit rate, it's 2 stats rolled into one, this will allow you to divert points normally assigned to str somewhere else, like agi. Fast and hard hitting, all with minimal equipment. Mage is pretty similar to archer, though instead of elemental arrows it has 3 different types of bolt magic. They also have Soul Strike, a ghost elemental bolt that cast really fast even with low dex, and it does extra damage to undead too, letting you level up pretty quick in places like Glast Heim against some the undead. Good thing too, because bolt spells have really slow cast time, especially at max level, and you're rooted to the ground during the cast time, any aggressive monster or those that become hostile when targeted by magic will have ample time to come up to you and disrupt your cast (unless you get someone to kite it around for you, and it has to be one where it doesn't change target upon being hit) Mage is also quite self-sufficient, since their main stat is int, it regenerates their large SP pool very quickly. If you were to get a Vitata card, you can use level 1 heal, and with their high int it should heal for a good amount of HP, serves as a nice form of first aid while out in the field, negating the need to carrying large quantities of healing items like potions or herbs (though you should still carry a few for emergencies) Anyways, both of these classes can exploit elemental weaknesses from the start, giving you a solid head start before you gain access to race cards for more specialized build.

When you steal triple attack you will have this skill forever or just to next log in

Any copyable skills will remain with you until you're hit by another and overwrites it. When you become a stalker, you'll have preserve which will keep you from copying any skills when hit, allowing you to safely attack a monster with copyable skills without fear of losing your current one. Although take note that preserve can be dispelled, and on a PK enabled server it's not uncommon to see a sage come around and dispell your preserve, then quickly hit you with a low level bolt spell and cripple your attack.

For the magic defense, although in this case being hit with a copyable magic would just make him lose triple attack and neuter his offense. Still, if he's hit with a non-copyable magic skill it does provide a solid defense.
