MTV used to play this in the wee hours in the morning, around 5:00. My roommate had strict orders to wake me up so I could watch it ❤️

Love this song and this band. We heard about it in the 80s from a friend of ours and right away, we loved every song we heard. Played a few of their songs for my daughter about a year ago and right away she loved it. Shows that great music is timeless and ageless.

2025. This still works for me. My friend Jason had a massive thing for Stiv Bators. Told me he died in his sleep after an accident. I guess i could look that up. Jason moved to NYC. We never heard from him again. This song really take s me back.

Bonjour Colette. Dans quelle ville habitiez vous en 1983. Je diffusais ce disque sur la radio CFM qui émettait sur 60 villes... Je sais que seules une poignée de radio osaient la diffuser. 40 ans après elle n'est accessible sur KZbin qu'aux utilisateurs qui ont décroché le mode RESTREINT dans les paramètres de leur compte... La censure musicale des artistes perdure encore de nos jours

@@coletteferlay807 je comprends mieux ! C'est à Bruxelles que j'allais deux fois par mois acheter les imports arrivés chaque jeudi de Londres par le ferry... C'est ainsi que je pouvais diffuser des centaines de musiques anglaises qui n'étaient jamais commercialisées par les maison de disques françaises... dans l'idée de ne pas affaiblir les ventes de leurs propres artistes "maison".

I first heard this song on MTV back in 1984. I was instantly hooked, but I never bought their album. I didn't hear it again for another 25 years until I found it here on KZbin. I'll always love this song. RIP Stiv Bators. 🙏

This is an awesome song. I love Lords of the New Church'. There's a cover by Nouvelle Vague that's pretty good too if you like that 60s French sound. Someone upped it with the song over the dance scene in Godard's 'Band of Outsiders'.
