Lords of Thunder (TurboCD & SegaCD) | Hidden Gems

Welcome to Episode 3 of Hidden Gems, Lords of Thunder! This is a great, medieval-fantasy themed shoot em' up for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx16 CD and Sega CD/Mega CD. We'll be checking out the game, but also an interesting (and hilarious) VHS tape that was made to promote it, editted by someone you'd probably never guess ;P Enjoy! And just like last time, stick around after the credits to watch me fail in some silly outtakes.

Looks like an interesting game. May need to add it to my Mega SD soon. Would love to see Terranigma next as I don’t know much about the game other than the frozen over world. Shame Guardian legend and Rhapsody didn’t get any attention.

Terranigma is actually my favorite SNES game, so I kinda hope it's next too. When I start taking votes for the next episode I'm going to bring it back :) I will eventually cover Rhapsody and Guardian Legend as well though, along with a huge list of other games I want to do 🤣 Thanks!

Great review and definitely need to add this fantastic game on my Sega CD to-buy list! I'm a big shmup gamer for the Genesis & Saturn (my fave console). Subbed from 🇨🇦 🤘

Good game on either system . Athough I do prefer the turbo soundtrack much more. Too much reverb on the sega CD version for me.

I'm always torn between both; I love how much clearer the Sega CD version sounds, but I also love the grunginess of the Turbo CD version :P
