I like how this mashup implements the best of both songs. When the main loop drops in PSO2, I felt it was quite ungodly weak. This mashup compensates, and even adds a LOT more intensity to the song as it is. I love it.

i have to agree, im personally not too much of a fan of the PSO2 version as someone, who played PS4 alot of times throughout several years. Its just doesnt have the parts of it that makes this song so awesome for me. Well some of those parts are in this version here pretty low aswell, but i can recognize it alot better + it has some parts that actually fit it quiet alot better aswell

It's like a more intense modern version version of Ooze but with enough of the old sounds to keep it familiar. I'm a fan.

And now for something interesting. Profound darkness is basically Dark Matter. She's Kirby's ultimate boss that appears time and time again. The awesome thing? This theme would fit even for a kirby ultimate final battle too. Although I really want more Phantasy Star rpg style then kirby..or PSO.

don't we all and their are so many ways you could tie it in to the lore of the universe. Example Profound darkness was just a new stronger darkforce ever 1000 years since 1/5th of the seal blew up. OR Profound light is the new antagonist (where you ahve to play as the dark sides forces to counter balance and face bosses like Lutz) OR inerplanetary war Motavia VS Dezolous as they start back up monster prouction and maybe in desperation try to revive darkforce.....

Good stuff but admittedly the bass end is really, really strong in comparison to everything else. Still groovy, something I've been looking for for a good while; thanks for bringing this to us! Admittedly I once dabbled in a mix of the two, but I couldn't figure out how to reconcile the slight differences in tempo between the two versions.

the negatives are deserved, the track really needs balancing because this is literally just slapping the original Ooze over Unfathomable Darkness and the two do NOT mix well especially when it gets into the middle

Megamix not Remix: The poster tried to overlap the two songs and keep the power and energy of PSIV while also bringing forward the strong chorus and treble from PSO2. Given how chaotic the song is I think they did ok with it especially given how rare mixes of any sort from Phantasy Starverse are.
