My last Ventrue was the sort who doesn't think he belongs in that clan. James Conner was a troubled, Scottish born high school kid living in London. When his childhood friend and crush went missing, and everyone, including her own parents and the police, just seemed to give up way to soon, he refused to. He kept digging, refusing to leave any stone unturned, refusing to believe she was gone. His dogged tenacity starting to draw dangerous attention. It was fortunate that the one sent to deal with him, by erasing his memories, first used dominate to get him to tell her what he was looking for. When he, of course, told her everything, she knew she had to have him. His loyalty and unrefined chivalry needed to be nurtured, and the Clan could do with an injection of such traits, in her view, so she embraced him. It turned out, his crush, the one he was determined to find, had been embraced into clan Toreador, and they were soon reunited. This did a lot to help James forgive his sire for killing him, but he still thinks she wasted her major favour on him. No way he's Ventrue material, based on what he's learned off the typical London Blue Blood. Bunch of old toffs with sticks stuck so far up there arses it's a wonder it doesn't paralyse them. His Sire, insists he is mistaken. That he represents values two many of her Clan in the city seem to have forgotten. He focuses entirely on Fortitude, and has pretty much taken the role of a knight/bodyguard.

I've done all sorts of Ventrue, It's not the only clan I ever play but it's definitely my habitual choice. My favorite was a fellow who was kind of the lay about of a rich family, who had accidentally attracted the attention of multiple vampires before he had become embraced. His sire and a rival Ventrue who made his unlife very difficult when he entered the night. Also before he had embraced he had unknowingly helped the local Tremere get access to some land that he owned but didn't really want but the Tremere wanted it because fell on some Ley Lines. They were very grateful, and that ended up transferring into a friendly attitude toward him after he had become embraced. It made things awkward with his Clan who were always giving him the hairy eye because the Tremere were always helping him and leaning on him for favors. And he really wasn't fully aware of the Tremere's bad reputation among the other Kindred.

I continue to love this series! The previous Tzimisce video has helped immensely with my former Zantosa (it's complicated) Anarch, and now this video has helped established a bit more into my baseline for my Veddarthan Ductus in the Sabbat LARP I'm in. Keep it up, this is awesome!

Disowned by their sire (embraced during some manner of indescretion), a Ventrue has the rough time of having to figure things out for themselves. Without having much explained to them, they fall in with a Brujah among the Anarchs, assuming they are alike. Que said Ventrue connecting the dots slowly, realising their sire is part of the Camarilla and decides to use their Anarch connection to get even. Ugly Duckling turns Alligator, if you will.

I always felt that for the Ventrue their journey through unlife is their own quest for a kingdom of their own. While the Ventrue might be aristocrats both new and old, being the King of the Outcasts or the Warlord has its own kind of panache and appeal. Camarilla Ventrue underestimate their Anarch and Sabbat cousins at their own peril. Being able to navigate complicated intrigues and political struggles are the name of the game but trying to balance long term goals with the willful and volatile personalities that populate both the Anarchs and Sabbat is a skill that I bet most Cam Ventrue would kill for.

My first character was a ventrue. I ended up becoming a trainer/manager for MMA fighters. I didn't ghoul them sense it was like steroids. However when i wanst doing that i was also a Hound and had tomtrack down hunters.

One of the few thgings I hated about Vampire: the Masquerade: Bloodlines was the fact that the only Ventrue character (other than the player) was LaCroix, the absolute worse representation of that Clan. Every other clan got decent rep, and we got that waste of a favour. Heck, Strauss, the Tremere, was a better Ventrue (I'll always side with him if I want a Camarilla ending).

For a Ventrue, how about an Enforcer? The Ventrue sire is trying to take over the princedom as usually. So, the sire finds a childe he can us and get him the job of Sherif or Scourge so to help move his pieces on the board so to speak. With a backstory of working in the army as a commander or leader of a swat team. Someone who has had command before and can work under presser.
