Great video, playing a "Faun" in our 2e campagn. Human fluffed with Feybound background, changeling ancestry. This video helped me explain what the Firstworld was like to my party quite a bit.

That video was a year ago but the last Lorefinder episode was 2 months ago. I've just finished editing the audio for our newest episode tonight. If the video side of things goes at it's usual pace, we should have another this episode out in the next week or so.

I purchased the Pathfinder game last year when it was out, I haven't finished it yet. I'm still stuck on rescuing Tristan from the silent sister. How do y'all like it? I'm overall glad it exists but I'm a tad upset with some design choices like barbarians being locked to unchained and animate dead being a throwaway summoning spell.

Anri: As shown by my absurd playtime, I got a lot of genuine enjoyment out of it. I think its the best adaptation of the pathfinder experience we could have gotten (bugs aside) from a small-ish studio with the budget they had. The mechanics are there, the high fantasy feeling of pathfinder is there, Kingdom management is great and the lore is top notch, with just a few minor issues. However, I do feel that the game had some issues that could only have been fixed with another year in the oven and a couple more million of dollars. Mechanics like undead creation and divination are absent, the amount of options in the game is completely adequate for a CRPG but it pales in comparison to the tabletop (and build diversity is pathfinder's main selling point). And some post core additions like traits and advanced weapon/armor trainings are sorely missed. But these things cost money and time, sadly the realities of video game development means they probably lacked both. While part of me wishes the first foray of pathfinder into CRPGs could have had the polish it deserved, Owlcat Games has been dedicated since launch to patching up the game and dealing with the bugs, balance and loading issues that made the experience worse in the earlier stages, and that's all I can really ask of them. The current version is a lot more stable and runs a lot better than at lauch, so I hope you give it another shot eventually!

@@VentureCaptains at some point i will make the journey and finish the game, I agree it did amazingly well with the resources giving and I'm glad they are patching it up. And hey who knows I could see a modding chance in the future if not just to expand and add some more options and roleplaying character angles.

Speaking of the first world paizo needs to really expand their cosmology. Gets old using dnd's cosmology

I mean... Pathfinder is an updated version of D&D 3.5 because people like 3.5 so much (and hated 4e so much) that they wanted to stick with that. It makes sense that Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 would have very similar cosomologies.
