It's really amazing how easy it is for Hollywood to manipulate the minds of the masses with a storyline, even when the proof is right infront of our faces. Loren Allred has never even come close to being uncredited or unrecognized as the voice of Never Enough. It was a shock to many of us when it was revealed, but America has known her name and face for a very very very long time. She has numerous live performances on KZbin of her singing this song on major stages accompanied by world famous composers & musicians like David Foster and Andrea Bocelli, literally performing in arenas. And this song has opened up so many other doors for her as an artist. In fact, Never Enough is the reason why she is on BGT to begin with. The judges knew who she was and so did the producers. Her time on the show is fixed and a way to expand her market and make her a household name. And I can guarantee you Simon, in some way, has his hand in the pot of her career. She's a very well established artist and America has everything to do with it.

Her CD “Sol y Sombra: Sun and Shade” with the Chatham Baroque Ensemble was released on the Dorian label. I think the judges were genuinely shocked. They might've known her name already, but not the face. To be honest though, I never knew that the actress didn't sing that song because the rest of the cast did their own vocals. So I just assumed. Plus the judges looking so happy, especially Simon... those reactions looked so genuine. Simon looked truly ecstatic while watching Loren hit the big notes. And I'm tired of people saying this wasn't her best rendition of this song. Listen, this is music. Yes, she has sung it more technically... but there was something just different emotionally here. Especially in the very first lines... so emotional from the start. I want music to move me emotionally and the singer doesn't need to pitch perfect 100% of the time to do that. Watch Kelly Clarkson perform Piece by Piece on Idol. It was so damn powerful because she was in fact getting emotional and missing notes.

For those of you have negative comments on Loren Allred. Search her name and you'll see her Amazing Live Concert Performances. There's a Lot of difference between Performing and being Judged. The Best of the Best can still have Butterflies 🦋 and Shaking Nerves. All in All this is still a Fabulous Audition. It wasn't a Performing so let's try to see ourselves in her position out there taking and risking it all. It's been 5 Years since The Greatest Showman was released. She didn't take advantage of her position. Her name is on the Vocal Ensemble Credits along with the other Singers. But there's no Song put beside any of the singers, so you wouldn't know who sang which song Look at Loren Allred KZbin Videos. Although she's done some Great Performances overall in the past. It wasn't until this Audition at Britain's Got Talent that she's Finally getting the Amazing Response overall. Let's be kind and support her and others like her Still Chasing her Dreams.

The real reason behind her preference to being behind the scenes? Well she did get a record deal with Island Def Jam. She was spotted by Ne-yo and signed. She was then subjected by record execs to sexual advances in exchange for a steep career trajectory. She insists none of Ne-yo's people were guilty of this. She never submitted to these requests so then was dropped from the label. It can be argued that she was also blacklisted. She was 19.

Good afternoon, Bianca. I was talking a break during lunch and watching some recent 'Got Talent' videos from around the world, and saw your reaction video listed for Allred's BGT audition, so clicked and watched. My interest in talent shows isn't the product as much as the sociality between performer, their narrative, the judges and the audience. I'm a sociologist, and my work is focused on the tools of personal, communal and societal transformation. I'm fascinated by how people take risks to grow...often...to heal...in a world that is one long hot mess as we give so little time and effort to ensuring the world works for all...i.e., for each other. My KZbin feed showed that you also did a reaction video on the Morrisette Amon's rendition of 'Never Enough, so watched that as well before responding to this video. Something you might find interesting to note in Allred's video, with an audience, is how soon the crowd rose to their feet...and stayed there. Imagine for a moment that it had been just a regular person without a hidden role in the movie, a faceless role. Most people had no idea the actress didn't sing the song...just consuming the movie product without much thought or attention to detail. But 'Never Enough' is a song attempted often in tryouts for talent shows around the world and singers can do fair a fair job, and maybe get a standing ovation late, some applause...but they don't match the Allred audience response...which stuns Simon. Why so powerful for her? Yes...great singer. Yes...great performance? But...what else? Joy...comes in surprise. Everyone in the auditorium/theater probably recognized the song...and were somewhat familiar with the singer's voice and power of the song in itself. No surprise there. Knowing this is supposedly the 'real' singer who was lip-synched? They didn't come ready for that and expecting it. Whoever knows what is real from the judges in these shows. But as any performer takes the stage...the audience is referencing each other for situational meaning and value. Do we laugh at this person, mock them,. devalue them for trying...OR...do we wait with the others around us to neutrally see what the stage performer will do? Few of us can come into those moments truly neutral because we all come with values, ideals and experience that shape how we see the person on the stage. Think Susan Boyle, or Jonathan and Charlotte, or Jahmene Douglas...who bring the burden of all sorts of expectations from the social debris of the society, community and family. Then they start to perform...and the hyenas and jackals watching to see people fail...and others who are afraid of seeing others fall...all are brought forward into seeing in the unexpected highly skilled performance of the other who one sees as a possible trainwreck...and instead...we're experiencing power and beauty. Allred is singing our experience of being invisible, non-valued, unknown...alone...in taking such risk of visibility and assertion of value. All of us...have hidden...hoping to be seen, hoping the time will come to be seen, waiting for a signal. In in rising in ecstatic joy for the unexpected performance from the invisible performer...we experience identification with the other, an ecstasy of self-expression of one's hopes and dreams. Note how the audience...is also part of that voice. If she'd been rejected and booed...ignored and things thrown at her...her voice wouldn't have been as strong, her notes less confident and her completion very different. The more they cheered...the more she could give voice...empower voice...risk her notes and dance with her particular gifts of presentation. We're a deeply dark species...so often. Ukraine, Yemen, Afghanistan, poverty, inequality and a gazillion injustices remind us every day as to how easy it is for males particularly to get sidetracked in concerns with having 'more-than' each other...to the point of willingness to kill each other's kids. The gift of self-expression...is learning the power of the sharing of gifts that relieves us of thinking we're not enough as is. I knew when I started watching...that beside skill in voice coaching...you brought skills in being. Full of light, perception, desire to share and illuminate...and a quiet and strong presence of joy...evidenced in the breadth and depth of your smile. Thanks for sharing your gifts so abundantly. Much enjoyed. mark

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. The song calls for it. I was saying on another reaction that while nervousness was a factor, the musicality of the song provides a lot of space for tapping into her voice cracks and the "cries" for artistic interpretation.
