i’m 28 so i remember social media before it was a business. man, im sad for younger gen’s. when we were in highschool and worried about friendships/popularity, our teachers would say “popularity doesn’t pay the bills” as like a knee jerk reaction because it was so true. now you can be very very rich from being liked. but you don’t even have be authentic to be liked, as long as you keep up a facade. i’m glad as i get older im surrounded by people who value privacy. i hope it becomes more like that for you guys x

46:21 this part about being “a negative person” i can deeply relate to- i’m super irritable, super anxious, very depressive, but i would describe your pessimistic mindset as more defensive than outright negative! you just have higher judgement and your conscience is very growth-oriented and focused on protecting yourself, which can cause anxiety, but it’s also really really helpful even just for survival. bc being sensitive to negative patterns helps to avoid them. there have even been studies done showing that more depressed/“negative” people are able to more accurately assess their environment and social cues of people around them. being overly positive can result in ignorance, which can result in accidents, and it’s just very easy to pick out negative things when you’re trying to have a good day and you’re on the defense!

I was just about to comment what Loren just said about the difference between pessimistic and negative. You can be a positive person who is cynical and pessimistic. Negative personalities to me are very different. I have a neighbour and she always soooo negative and has nothing nice to say. Everything she says is tainted with negative outlook. She complains, moans and presents even good news with negativity. She's draining. I went to a funeral with her and you'd think she was the one who died lol nothing was good enough. I check to make sure shes not around before putting my bins out now. Lol

As an American I think we’re all just over tipping culture. We have to tip everyone and the amount of the tip is too much and it just never stops and it’s overwhelming. I think employers should just pay their own employees and not make customers feel responsible. I hate tipping but I still tip well when I dine in, I just don’t dine in often anymore and just take out instead

Not gonna lie I loved wearing masks as well.
