Loretta Lynn is the Queen of country music and she's been my idol since I was a teenager and I I just turned 70 years young on the 21st of April. I still listen to all her songs on all my 33 Rpm vinyl records, cassettes and CD's i have of Loretta Lynn.

When I moved to Nashville back in 1971 and lived at Fulton trailer park . I went down town and I saw a tavern that said Loretta Lynn . went in and ordered a beer . They were playing country songs . 2 girls sat across on the other side , so I got up the courage to ask for a dance and she said sure . After a min. or so she asked what's your name and I said Ken , she said mines Loretta . I said please to meet you not knowing who she was . She said are you knew in town and I said yes and she asked was I in Nashville to make it big . I said no I can't sing or play an instrument . She asked well then what brought you to Nashville and joking I said a greyhound bus . She kinda laughed . after the song was over I sat back down and a few songs later she asked for a dance . we started talking and she said it sure is nice when someone just treats you like an everyday person and that's when she asked do you know who I am . I said no . She said I'm Loretta Lynn . I said you mean I'm dancing with a star . After the dance I finished my drink and I said to her Loretta thank you so very much for dancing with me . Last time I saw her . A few years later when I got married we gave our daughter the middle name Lynn . If you get the chance to read this . Hope you remember . I'm one of the luckest people to have meet and danced with you .

Wow! Have u ever tried meeting up with her at her ranch again. Good memories. Buck Owens was my star & I still have the autographed picture he sent my husband and me . My husband surprised me with tickets to the Chrystal Palace for my bday before Mr Buck passed on. Ms Lynn seems like such a down to earth person. Lucky u to have danced with a ⭐️.

This was a very heart warming video because my mother on my birth certificate has she was born in Paintsville, KY..My Dad was born in Lowden County West Virginia....so this means a lot to me because I am 65 years old now and the video was like a miracle because my grand dad worked in the mines in Kentucky.....I will never forget this and thank you!!! I was able to see where my roots are at Kentucky and West Virginia....God Bless and Thanks again!!!!

she don't live there no more, and opened her home after she moved to the new house Mooney built for her on top of the hill about 5 miles from the original ranch. she is very very private when she is home, but she comes to the old homestead and greats the tourists quite often, and the grandkids and kids and nieces and nephews are all offered work at the ranch. she is generous to a fault, especially to her own folks and she gave her heart and soul to the world, in her songs and her love. bless her

We're hope'n ta bring a bus group on down for a quick lunch on Nov. 2., on our way to New Orleans. Coal mining runs in my blood. My grandpap worked in a mine in southern Ohio. My Dad did also till there was a slight incident. He never went back, moving to the Cleveland area.
