He was holding back the tears and then neither of them could help it. I love their story. It takes getting thru tough times to really know what you’ve got and who you are. Loretta sang so beautifully and gave her all in every performance. She lives on in her music, her family and her fans There won’t be another one like her. We’ve been blessed

Ole Doo Cheated on Loretta During Their Entire Marriage. Loretta Knew It!! How a Women Can Stay With a Husband That Disrespects Her in That Way Is Beyond Me. She Was So Much Better a Person in Everyway Then That "Low Caliber, Disrespectful Louse" She Stayed With. Loretta Could of Done SO MUCH BETTER and She DESERVED MUCH BETTER Then What She Was Willing to Settle For. Real Sad!!

Regardless of the kind of man he was...he was HER man, she loved only him, and only once, for a very short time in their early years, did she ever seriously think about leaving. She said he only hit her when he was drunk, and she'd always hit him back twice. She said he really wasn't a violent man. Just, when he'd drink, there was just that little something about her that set him off. She was tough, and could beat him...and he knew it! She said their's was a hard love story, but they really did love each other. She did say that although she and Conway never had anything romantic going on, that if she had have left Doo, she would have only left him for Conway. She may have deserved "better" than him, but he was the only one she was ever in love with. If she was happy, who are we to judge?

Without him she'd have never left Butcher Hollow, never learnt to play guitar and never become a singer. She was his meal ticket but the reason she became famous and rich is because he realised her talent when she was nothing but a teenage housewife and pushed/encouraged her. She owes a lot to him too.
