I'm from Kentucky myself, proud to be a fellow Kentuckian. My grandfather was also a coal miner, so I understand the hard life that they went through. Loretta is the most humble star I have ever seen. I love her voice, her songs and how humble she is and the fact that she just keeps going. as of this post , she is 87 and still touring. Unbelievable.

But singing helps me through the hard days. We will always Love you Loretta my parents went to see you long ago both gone now. But anyway you are always in my prayers along with your Children. About 25 years ago when Loretta was performing in Branson mo. Dew was at cox South here in Springfield and she was at his side of course,my mom worked there and she visited with her. Mom said she was the most down to earth sweet woman she had ever met! She just adored her music and her as a person. My aunt was also in the hospital, Loretta found out and bought her.roses and sang a couple of songs for her. My mom and aunt were thrilled to get that private audience to her talent! Mom just adored her! She talked about her so much. I lost my aunt that year and my mom 2 years later. If your reading this Loretta.... Opal May absolutely adored you and I thank you for the memories you gave her!

I love her !! I got to see her in concert one time and 2 years ago I finally got to go visit her ranch ( Hurricane Mills ) on my birthday . My husband surprised with that and that was probably the best birthday I ever had . Now Miss Loretta has had a stroke since then . I pray she's feeling better . Thanks for sharing this video .

Dear Loretta, When I was 6 years old I was on stage singing "you ain't woman enough yo take my man.! At that time my dad played guitar for me. But he left us and my mom raised me @ my sister. I knew all your songs # sang them without a guitar all the time. I just want u to know how much I looked up to you, you got me through some very rough times. evilcowboy I listen to all kinds of music as well. Well with the exception of jazz. Ever since I could remember my dad would put these huge pioneer headphones on me and play records. I love her music and when she collaborated with Jack White she gained a whole new group of fans. My dad didn’t like the white stripes but when he heard the stuff they did together he was pretty impressed. Her and Patsy Cline paved the way for so many women in many different genres of music.

I have to say I have always loved your work, sir! I also am one of Mrs Lynn’s younger fans, having been played her music by my dad. When she did the work with Jack White my dad didn’t understand it because he wasn’t familiar with his music. When I played some for him he didn’t care for it but knew that it brought her more fans that wouldn’t have heard her had it not been for that. The movie Sissy Spacek played her in did her the best justice! Her music was way before its time. The Pill was amazing! I’m not too happy about the new lifetime movie because what I’ve seen so far didn’t seem appealing. I know she won’t live forever but her music will! She’s one classy woman!
