Zany, delightful film! David Niven, and Joel McCrea play so well off each other, the sisters are a triad of coordinated antics and special mention to Binnie Barnes. Thank you for this new year treat!

Loretta Young was beautiful and a very smart woman. I used to beg to stay up on the night her TV show came on (just to see her come down those stairs wearing another beautiful dress, then I had to go to bed). Little girls had their idols also.

I was n grade schl back then too and loved her show. Yes, fun glamour watching strutting her elegance in sophisticated fashion of the day. Mostly impressed with her acting in each story.

I don’t think you’re going through strange face I think you were looking for when there was actual glamour and cleanliness of speech and these people really knew how to do the dances on the floor it was part of what they learned growing up. I’m totally with you I love these black-and-white movies

A joyful and funny romantic film, with three great leads - Young, McCrea and Nivens - and an excellent supporting cast. B & W cinematography was gorgeous. I love Loretta Young, but those gorgeous long and glistening nails on a chicken farmer?! hehe Thanks for sharing this gem.

Loretta Young became more beautiful with every passing year. I loved David Niven and Joel McRae was a favorite western star. This is when movies made you laugh out loud and feel good!

Love to see these "Gold-digger Movies" and how they borrowed Narrative tropes with each other...compare Three Blind Mice with The Greeks Had a Word for Them (32), Ladies in Love (37), Moon Over Miami (41) starring Betty Grable and How to Marry a Millionaire (53). Loretta was truly one of the great beauties of the screen, and beautiful speaking voice.

A book by David Niven reveals he lived with Loretta Young & her 2 sisters when he first arrived in Hollywood, and that she was instrumental in getting him roles. This must be an example of what he was referring to...

Interesting movie. A great black and white classic. Loretta Young was beautiful, but I would rather have Marjorie Weaver. She was just as lovely but did not put on airs and act like she was better than everyone like Loretta. Still, a good movie. Joe S

I LIKE a preamble about a movie, but this detective pinpoints about the whole thing depletes the appetite for watching it altogether! its TOO MUCH information!!!
